The Good.
The good stuff about the T.A.M.B. is the making of new friends, being able to talk with decent fans of other teams, having social conversation. The colours of the tartans, the sound of the pipes and enjoyment of members on match days. The fund raising through the Sunshine Appeal and the good this is doing for underprivilaged children, the presentation to Ally and Faye McLeod another example of what members can achieve when they work together as Scots. There may I am sure be many other instances where the good of the T.A. has shone through that I am not aware of, please enlighten me.
The Bad.
The bad bit about the T.A.M.B. is the rubbishing of other peoples beliefs because they differ, I have my beliefs with I hold close to my heart, there are others who believe as I do, there are those that believe different that is O.K. I have no truck with this, but I feel it is not right to be disrespectful to someone elses religion, faith or belief just because it isn't to your taste.
Politics are a daily bug bear that we live with, within our work space and different governing bodies, up for discussion and debate, but not on the TAM Board, no, on the TAM Board if you do not lean towards SNP you are a lepper or a traitor, this again is unfair and bad, people again are free to follow whichever political party their heart desires. Again there will be many other issues that I have over looked, please enlighten me.
The Ugly
The ugly side of the T.A.M.B. is the way wives of opposing players are treated, one specificaly is portrayed in song and text on the threads, yes the player can be open season for abuse, but when families and wives and their children are brought to abuse I think it is distasteful and shows an ugliness within the T.A. Wives and their children do not play against us, so they should be immune from this kind of attack. I know how I would feel if it were my family that were getting verbally abused in this way.
The T.A.M.B. is viewed world wide, and this board may be the only contact some other nationals may ever have with Scottish Fans. We are embassadors for our country when we go abroad, the way we behave reflects on how people see our nation, it is just the same on the T.A.M.B.
Rant over.
This is the way I see it, feel free to organise lych party if so desired.
P.S. this is not aimed at any individual, so please don't personalise this post it is taken in general context, myself being as guilty as the next person.

Of course somebody is gonny take a pop shot at you re previous posts. I have done it maself and posted a lot that could fall into any category but a bit of mirror gaving never hurts and hopefully looking we can learn.

Re your bit about "Bad" - please point out the posts on the board where non SNP posters are treated as lepers...?
Also, on the "ugly" part, the only post I can remember in recent history pertaining to the lovely Victoria Beckham is the one posted by William Wallace on this very thread!
Are you sure this isn't all a figment of your imagination? 
There's plenty on this board to moan about without having to dream up extra stuff...

Aye what ever you say Ally. But I am sure there will be more posts to back me up on this, also some telling me I am a numpty, I can live with that , unlike some TAMB members I don't take myself serious and think I am the laird or lairdess of tambermuchty.
Again this is not aimed at one or two individuals, but in general, those that think their opinion and only theirs has the intellegence worthy of posting and any other belongs to realms of dustbins. But it is a free country and if people feel they are high and mighty then good on them, me, I'm just an ordinary Joe that speaks it as he sees it, I am past caring if people like me or not, if they do, then they like me for who I am, not what they think I am, if they don't like me, then again that is their loss, because they judge me on posts and not personality I am no ones enemy, but if they are mine, well again why worry, lifes too short. I have had people ignore me at tambers meetings, because they see Hawkeye Ranoo through the eyes of the board and not as the person he is in real life, as Rikki Duncan.
It is not just on the board, it is out in the streets of Glasgow on the way to Hampden these songs are being sung, where there are men women and children doing their weekend shopping, or going about their business, I have had many a fall out with Richie over his behaviour and comments about the same players wife, maybe it is a younger generation thing and I am from the old school where our parents taught us manners at the end of a slap. Ally I don't understand your post, it is as if this board is sqeaky clean and WW's post is the only type that is not of good taste.
I myself am guilty, of poor taste, no doubt I still will be in the future when it comes to Engerlanders I can't help that as they are not top of my love in chart, I don't hate them I just enjoy winding them up, the clockwork nation. There were posts leading up to general election pushing for members to vote SNP and if we didn't we were basically traitors again I have had words with Richie for spouting of about SNP to me in our house, I am not interested in SNP end of story. This is my choice, but I am not going to set up a thread encouraging people to vote the same party that I vote for, I was talking to a tamber in Pandora's before the election and when I said I wouldn't be voting SNP he stopped talking to me and ignored me after the game, big deal, his loss.
All I am looking for is, that the older generation help those coming up behind us, to understand the need to maintain the good image, that the Scotland support have and to stop in becoming an 18 - 30 holiday tour; when we attend Scotland games.
That we can enjoy ourselves without bringing our country into disrepute.
Now I have set myself up to be on my best behaviour on the board, knowing the bad taste I have in humour, this will be difficult, but I will have to try my best. But if others find it hard to be respectful when respect is required, then we are in a worse state than I thought. And it isn't a figment of my imagination, it is how I see it. Through my eyes, not in my mind.

It's not about any thing about me or Richie we can look after ourselves, it is about the reputation of the T.A. it is about how other see our nation, how can we try to rubbish others when we are no better ourselves, Kernie, CUFC, Steelpeach have all fallen victim to my warped sense of humour but I have messaged each individualy and told them it wasn't personal, maybe it should have been done in public and if I have offended any of them, sorry , but I will probably do it in the future but it isn't malicious, only jest. Hawkeye, this board is only a small part of the T.A.and to be honest I don't thnik the board is that bad. Sure there are a few on it that just rip the erse out it, but most people reading this from the outside would see them for waht they are. As for the singing about posh spice etc, that happens fella (not saying it's correct to do it) look at what gets shouted and sung at non iternational games. Then look at other countries in Europe and the stuff that comes out their mouths. Political and religous veiws are always going to cause arguments, again this is something we face in every part of life so I don't see why it would give the TAMB or the TA a bad press. You do seem to be pissed off and something fella and are right to express it here. As for the younger followers, I'm sure a lot of them are more mature than the older ones. And lets face it. look at the state of Scotland as a whole, you have younsters supporting Ireland and Engerland cause of their bigoted upbringing and the glory hunting feckers that they are. So I'd say the ones following Scotland ain't that bad.

We've met a few time now, and I can honestly say I enjoy meeting you. You are a straight up guy with an honest, endearing smile. I am not you're "enemy", I just give you a hard time on here now and again... 
You started a thread decrying the good/bad/ugly of this message board, then justify it by pointing out what the good folks of Glasgow have to listen to when Scotland fans are on the march to Hampden.
That's two different things! Are you having a pop at the state of this message board or the state of the Tartan Army???
Anyway, I'm sure they hear a lot worse any other weekend! I'm fairly sure most Glaswegians won't be needing therapy as a result of our "posh spice" songs. I'm also fairly sure that David Beckham will take most of them as a back-handed compliment. We wouldn't sing them if he wasn't a high profile footballer. And he hears worse on a weekly basis in the Premiership!
Anyway, don't think too badly of me for arguing with you again. I may have a daft grin, but I know good guys from bad guys. And even if you are a right wing hun tory unionist badger, you're still a good guy and I look forward to seeing your smile again in the Pandora next time.

Wait a minute, whits with the Tory stuff. I might be everything else but enoughs, enough.
And re posts I am having a pop at the overall behaviour of members, both on board and attendance at games, it is just what I see and hear, I don't like the other stuff re league matches either, but what the T.A. does, effects how people view my nation. we are the shortbread tins of world football, tartan and bagpipes this is what people buy into. So we are up there to be shot down, we have put ourselves in the spotlight, and mark my word, if our reputation does crumble, it will be with a mighty crash. The more people join the harder it is to hold it together, so we need standards to be set and kept, and this standard we operate on is maintaining world wide respect for our Scotland, by respect for our Scotland and ourselves, through the way we present ourselves and behave, when appearing under the banner of the T.A. whether on the board or on the streets..

I personally can't see the reputation of the TA crumbling as the result of singing about the popstar wife of a footballer being of easy leisure. You say footballers are fair game, why not popstars? What are you saying anyway, that the TA's repuation will only remain intact if everyone who goes to a Scotland game follows your moral code, and if the TAMB is used to discuss issues which you think are appropriate.
And if you say you are guilty of distaste yourself (which in my experience you certainly have been on this board), why do you start blaming it on the young for not having respect and manners? And why bother posting something if you're just gonnae edit it out five minutes later or apologise? Kinda takes the edge off the joke.
I'm just finding it difficult to see what the point of your initial post was and what sparked it.

WW did I see an edit on your post? only jesting.
The reason I edited it was because it was sick, it was the punch line from an old joke which was not fit or as funny as I though it was. What sparked my rant off, just a feeling that some things were going too far. Remember, this is just my own view point, and some people will differ, others will agree, and some might not give a F**k.
So if you don't agree fine, but if it makes people sit up and think, well it is doing something, also it is not my moral code, it is all about respecting your country enough to think about how the things we do or say effect the way others see it. If life is all about having crack, and not giving a thought on how we behave then there is no standards, Maybe it is just that I am getting to an age where the things that I was taught, growing up are now more apparent in what I see and hear. I my youth I didn't care, now I do.
Maybe I am trying to amend some of the wrong I have done,
maybe it is too little too late.
Maybe I would be better of just leaving the board, if my thoughts are so wrong, and I am being moralistic, but if there is a continuation of the stuff that is happening on the walk to Hampen and other grounds and our nation comes into disrepute, then we are all guilty by association.
