Got your e-mail...cheers.
Logged onto Ryanair to check out the flights.......Flying out on the 31st March 2003 is no problem £30 or so....BUT there were NO return flights on the Friday 4th April 2003 or the 5th or the 6th.......
I dont know if this situation is normal or if it will improve......you might want to check it out or suggest alternative ways to Stockholm?

Flights for next April are not on the system yet, that is why there is none coming up. March only recently became available, so it will be a few weeks yet before you can book.

I wouldn't know about that, David, but I'd expect it will have:
1. Wheels
2. Copious quantities of pear cider
3. Tommy Scott performing live
Do we need anything else?

Was Tommy Scott ever alive ?
I have asked for luxury coach with toilet & video, spec seems to change as size of bus increases, I have asked them today if they have any of the luxury 70 seat double deckers, with a few of those Brazillian burdz wi the feathers etc. etc. thrown in just to make the Tommy Scott party swing a bit more !

Battlebus, what are the options on getting the ferry over from Stockholm straight into Klaipeda (Lithuania)? There are 9 perhaps 10 of us who might join you for the flight to Stockholm, but then get the ferry over.

Reeky,
I couldnae find any ferries direct ti Lith from sweden. Are there any? BC, your trip looks a bit of hard work, even for the TA. At what point are you planning to sleep, if indeed you do plan to. We were already resigned to having to go on the Tuesday and come back on the Sunday. That way we could have a night or two in Stockholm on the way back, but it would need to involve getting a ferry direct to Lith, otherwise we wouldn't arrive in time for the match.

You can get a ferry to Klaipeda from the south of Sweden (Karlshamn) and also from Copenhagen but there's nane fae Stockholm. You could always go to Kalinigrad instead (from Kiel) but you'd have to get a visa. All these ferries seem more geared to cargo than passengers.

Marky,
WHEN WILL YOU SLEEP????
Next you will be asking if the guys are planning to EAT!!!!
As a veteran of BattleBus I, I can vouch for the quality of trip ran by BBC and Mo Fae Fo.
To survive BBII you will need;
Earplugs - The foam type.
Neck cushiony thing - or sit next to a big fat bassa.
Those eye cover thingys you get on lang haul flights.
Bottle of coke, water, two packets of crisps and a mars bar - for when you wake up with a mooth like the bottom of a budgies cage and starvin.
Before getting on the BBII make sure;
You are blooooootered
You have been to the Venus Disco and danced yer sox aff (and are now nackered)
You have burger and chips (cos sure enough some b*st*rd will think of it (THE CLAW!!!!), come on the bus, and waft it under yer coupon when you are Hank Marvin!!!)
Remember the Venus Club????
This might jog yer memories
http://www.venusclub.ee/index.php?show=galerii&gid=14
Might take a few minutes to load but well worth it!!!!

aye, fight and you may die - run and you will live, for at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing, to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, JUST ONE CHANCE TO COME BACK HERE AND TELL OUR ENEMIES THAT THEY MAY TAKE OUR LIVES, BUT THEYLL NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM!!!

46 gone so far it's a 70 seater, but it may only hold 69 if you have ever met 'Rod' the big pimp from shrewsbury - 23 stone of him, then you'll know what I mean.
BB1 was like a mortuary 5 mins after we ledt Latvia the last time.
Tam are ye still hoarding those EEK's ? send them this way and I'll raise a pear cider in your absence. (I have found it in the UK - took delivery of 5 cases yesterday Hic ! )
As for sleeping, there is a hotel in Stockholm, cabin both ways on the ferry - that's 3 night out of 5, what is the Tartan Army coming to, eating / sleeping
We'll travel the road, with a highway code, a piece box and a flask !

Jonny,
Have you got any info' on the Copenhagen ferry?
Seems like a good option. Cheap flight from Ryanair to Stansted then Go (Easyjet?) to Copenhagen.
Cheers,
Jimmy.
