Just back from Love St for a pre season game between the buddies and the steelmen and though I'm a Saints fan I've got to mention what a great wee player James McFadden looked.
Took us apart whenever he got the ball - great feet, good vision - hope he bags a few for Motherwell at the start of the season and forces his way into Berties plans for the Denmark game. Who needs Rommedahl ??
Any 'Well fans care to comment on the young man ? I hadn't seen much of him till tonight.

The funny thing is about that is i think he looks a lot like Rommendahl, do you no think so? but he does looks a good wee player, hopefully he'll get his chance this season with the national side..

Why can't we have good "big" players anymore?? all our midfielders and strikers (Kyle & Hutchie excepted) seem to be knee high to a grasshopper as well as being a wee bit on the skinny side. Bring back Joe Jordan !!
I think Berti needs to plan for the future and introduce a selective breeding programme

Micky,
good tae see a fan of another team prasin' other players. Saw him beginnin' of the year at Parkhead and although we lost 2-0 he wisny worried about reputations on the other side as he was prepared tae go at them. He actually scored a good goal by beatin' the offside trap only for it tae be disallowed (there's a surprise) when it was still 0-0. Faddy's an excellent prospect as long as he dosny go tae Celic (ala Phil O'Donnell) when, (and it will happen sooner than later - which tears me up as we canny hold ontae them!)he leaves the Well he should take a leaf oot of Paul Lambert's (ex-buddie who I always thought was a great player when I saw him playin' for your team vs the Well in the time of Stickroth etc. - show's you how auld I am!!) book and head for Germany/Spain/Italy, where his game will only improve. As, Bazman mentioned though hopefully he screws the napper and dosny repeat HK? Funny story on a Well website was that (before he got his hair cut) he came fae a gypsy family and naebody would tell him tae get it cut in case they got cursed! Pearson could be another (red heided boy)although he does seem tae have a temper problem.....

Got to agree wi alan about young pearson too, whit a player he could be and for a big lad he has a tremendous amount of skill on the ball.
Faddy`s goal against shellick wis offside though

I've been watching him at Firpark and if it wasnae for him I don't know if we'd still be in the SPL, and it looks like he's happy to stay at Motherwell so he's no gonnae make a daft move down south or to the old firm. He really is a talent.

No from where I was sittin' Bazman - however, there will be other chances this season! WW, I think money's gonny dictate where Faddy goes (look at Elliot?) as we are no in the best financial situation at the moment. Just hope it's abroad as it has seemed to help other's improve their games i.e. Lambert/Mojo & the Branco stopper Murdo! Pearson could mibbye be the new Don wi the height/skill factor although it would be better if he dyed his hair another colour just so Will dosny aspire tae illusions of grandeur?
