This guy apparently owns the copyright for the "Tartan Army"
anybody know him?
Is he a good guy or a can't?
Who is he and what does he get oot of the TA?
Is he a Scotland fan? does he go to Scotland games and how much would he sell the TA copyright for?

he is a scotland fan, he does go to away games, if you go to the hampden museum his tartan suit is on display, in the tartan army tartan!!!!!!
I met him after the home cash with england in the scotia and he was a nice guy, i just think that he **** ed up royally in trying to make cash out of it.
he occasionally lets (sells) the daily retard use it and thats why they can call themselves "official paper for the tartan army"

seen him oan the telly a few years back when he copyrighted it - ah think the idea was tae make a mint out o` the brand but never heard anything after that.
He is scottish and a scotland fan.

aye his company makes stuff, my shop sells tartan army mugs that they must of bought cheap as f uck, it does my head in to see tartan army with a wee r in a circle above it!
you've no doubt seen the flags with tartan army on them half a saltire down one side and a lion doon the other, blue jimmy hats are also his as he came up with the tartan army tartan tae

How much did it cost him? Or is that top secret? Letting the Daily Retard get their dirty hands on it was certainly a grave mistake. Surely it should be the ordinary footsoldiers who decide which is their 'official paper' if they want one at all.

The merchandise came out in time for the world cup in France. T-shirts face paints etc. Went against the grain but I bought some face paints and they were c**p.

I've always thought there is a big potential in marketing the name "Tartan Army" but obviously very little is being done at the moment, I certainly see very little merchandise.
Perhaps if this Ian Adie (never met the guy so I can't pass comment on him) isn't doing much with the rights, then maybe it could be used for chartable purposes such as the Sunshine Appeal.
Very easy for me to say I know, but just an idea!

Quite a few did DAK. Saw some poor b***r in a cafe just off the square in St Etienne. He had been in their for an hour trying to wash them off his face as the paint was running and going everywhere. His face was red raw and it still woudnt come off.
