Um, I'm sure Robbie Winters would be delighted to be called a youngster, and I'm sure that many Dons fans would be delighted to see him called an Aberdeen player, but, unfortunately, he is neither
I would add another few names to the list, though - Darren Young, Derek Young and Phil McGuire. All have been regulars in the Dons team for at least a couple of years.

Gavin Rae from Dundee could be considered, but we're not really struggling for Midfielders are we ?

Kenny Miller yes Mark Burchill no have never been a fan of him he only really got flung on at scotland games to lift crowds Miller is more of a striker as he can actually read the game and know when he is onside or not also burchill always seems to be a hang around the box player which is a dying breed of striker

Burchill ???? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
Can we just put this one to bed right now ?
Burchill never, ever ever has been, never ever ever will be good enough to play for Scotland...he's simply the massively over-hyped invention of a media who have their heads up the arses of the Old Firm. When did he make his international debut ? 4 years ago wasn't it ? He's hardly an undiscovered youngster, is he ?
Let's concentrate on the good up and coming players that are in the Scottish game, and push aside the dregs that Craig Brown lumbered us with for the last desperate, desperate few years of his stewardship.

The jury is still out on Darren Mackie. LOOOAAADSS of enthusiam but still lacks composure. I would be delighted if he develops into an international class stricker.
Why does everyone always forget Darren Young (TS excluded)

Utd - Jamie Mcunnie, Stephen O'Donnell, Mark Wilson and Ogunmade are all up and coming promising player, I also dont think you can discount Craig Easton(only 23), who seems to be improving weekly!

Thistle have a few - If they don't get the usual hype - like Jered Stirling who was "destined for Liverpool", and was freed by Forfar last season!
Andy Gibson (any Dundee fans might remember him :-P)
Willie Howie (the wee boy who got mugged and almost killed a few months ago - thankfully he's recovering!)
We've also signed a few of the under 18's from Falkirk who've been touted as being potential stars - any Bairns that can enlighten us?

Kevin McNaughton has the potential to be one of the best players to come out of this country for 30 years. I would hate to see him go to a big(ger) club and not be given a chance, but give him 2 more seasons here and Real Madrid will want him.
McGuire, McNaughton, Maloney (believe the hype for once I think). These are 3 players who should all form the backbone of the national team in years to come - but they need to see first team football to aid their development. There are others such as Ross and Hughes who stand an excellent chance of making it - but I've seen enough ability and determination in those 3 to believe that only serious injuries or their agents could screw up their careers.
Oh and for future reference - Winters is neither A) young, B) good enough for Aberdeen, let alone Scotland. 7 sclaffed penalties, 3 tap ins and a couple of deflected free kicks a season do not an international class player make.
