When I was 11 I watched on TV Scotland vs W.Germany (World Cup Finals in Mexico 1986) and since that year I have supported Scotland.
What do you think about fans from the foreign countries who support Scotland?

Piotr, the Tartan Army has members from a number of foriegn countries and these guys are made to feel very very welcome, both on this message board and of course at the games. It gives us a great sense of pride in our country that someone who has no Scottish blood in them would want to become a supporter of our national team. I am happy that you count yourself as a Scotland supporter however I have to be honest and say that I find it a bit strange as I would only ever support the land of my birth. Mind you I always become a part time supporter of any country that is playing England!!! Anyway welcome to the TA and I hope you get the chance to join us at a game in the future. One thing that's certain is that you WILL enjoy yourself.

Aye well done that Polish man/Scottish fan! See ye in Vilnius, Piotr - or, if ye fancy a few biers in Deutschland first then just nip across the border? First round is planned for August 10th, 2002 in Hamburg as a few of us are travelling up tae check oot the excellent new stadium as they take oan Hannover 96 in the first game of the season. All are welcome, as the check oot the stadia and surroundin's gathers pace for 2003 & 2006....

Piotr....a few off us plan to travel to Lithuania via Warsaw next year maybe you can join us, or give us some costs ie. train journey from warsaw to vilnius with a stopover for the night in Suwalki.

I completely agree with themongoose's sentiments (now that's a funny expression), it's nice to know that there are people from other countries out there who want to support Scotland. Though I do find it hard to comprehend why anyone would want to support another country, but then that just shows how addictive Scotland is. 
But as I say, foreigners are more than welcome.

Aye Piotr, I am also a foreigner and I love Scotland too!
And it all started with meeting some of the Tartan Army footsoldiers in Sarajevo in autumn 1999. The rest is a history now...
