Apparently it's only 6 euros by train and they run till the wee sma 'oors. 8 of us are going anyway.

I must be looking at something differently - I get it so that its an hour and a half from Dusseldorf Station, and costs €43.40 return, the wrong side of £25 I think.

Direct service at 16.54 gets you into Ahlen at 18.23, but coming back you have to change at Hamm - however, its almost as quick coming back, and you're right they do run till fairly late - depends whats there though!!

This place is the other side of Dortmund - which is where this train stops - via Bochum & Duisburg as well. A bit of a trek for those of us in Dusseldorf, but if the U21s play as well as they did in Vilnius it'll be well worth the jaunt.

Come come Paul! The U21s played superb they should have put about 6 past Lithuania - were it not for our old pal up front for them (The Number 10 who looked like Pierluigi Collina), and the fact that they had Francesco Toldo in goal, with Mr Magoo as referee.

I am really looking forward to seeing - amongst others - Brian Kerr play, and indeed think that we actually look a better passing, more cohesive team than the senior team - although I say that was before we played as well as we did against Germany.

The corner; have we turned it yet?! Dortmund will tell all....

Not so sure about the Vilnius performance, but I thought they looked awsome in Iceland.
Still a bit of a long trek from the Dorf. Would need a monty carry out for the train!

BW use the RE trains to get to ahlen they are 1/2 the price of the IC& ICE ( which I've been told you're best to book). Journey times are about the same. A crowd of us staying in Hamm which is only about 10 miles away, so most of us will be there.

Ah well, a few Dusseldorf bars and a lot of Dusseldorf beer will make missing the U21 match a little less disappointing.
