I think thats reasonably fair. The football fans around Dortmund are meant to be the most passionate in Germany so I suspect there will be big demand out there.
By my reckonming we are getting more than the 10% they are obliged to give us, so we shouldnt really complain.
If the group is decided by then ie they beat us at Hampden and there other two games before then, i suspect it wont be too difficult to get one of a local.
No matter what, theres going to be a lot of TA in Dortmund pubs

They are getting 7000 out of 52000 so we should expect more from a stadium that holds around 67000

according to the article i read the capacity will be 60K for the game over there...and the sfa have decided to give them more than 10%so that we can get more than 10%...from what i remember it was decided on 7K for away fans at both games

i heard from someone who'd be talking to the SFA that it was going to be 8000 each which might be too many for them but hopefully will mean us avoiding a ballot.

just a thought,
if the SFA expect around 10-12 thousand will travel to Dortmund, then why dont they offer Germany the same in return.
I cant see us selling 40 odd thousand for the game at Hampden anyway
this would keep our core support happy. ( I think )

for once the sfa have their heads srewed on, great idea to offer them 7000 tickets, there is no way the germans will bring that many onver to scotland, 4000 max i say.
7000 to 8000 toickets for us in dortmond, it will still go to a ballot for the stc members, am i right ?
the stadium holds more than 60000 for league games but they have terracing and fo euro and international games they have to put in seats which reduces the capacity dramatically.
how good would it have been for 15000 tartan army standing on the terracing.
any chance of getting them to change their mind.

Sure I read somewhere that the German FA has already allocated all the tickets they're receiving for Hampden to travelling fans.

I think the idea of a ballot is pish. Surely the fairest way of dishing out the tickets is to go on members' track records of away (and home) attendance. I'm all for new folk coming along, but the SFA should reward their most loyal fans, ie the ones who suffer pish like we did last week.
Anyway, I reckon the first thing the SFA needs to do is bring back Marjory Nimmo! She was superb for sorting out any problems and everything ran smoothly when she was organising the STC. We had major problems getting our Lithuania tickets and the place seems to have collapsed without her. New memberships are taking months to process and that has made an arse of the season ticket idea as new folk can't get seats with existing members. Rant over.
Despite the game, last week was still brilliant and I can't stop the flashbacks. More of the same in September hopefully!
Miss you Marj

Our group are also a bit nervy about tickets, it is looking like a ballot.
It seems daft that we all have to book up well in advance of the fixture to ensure we get there and have some where to stay. But we don't know if we'll get a ticket for the game.
I don't know what the answer is, there probably isn't one, but it does show the supporters commitment to the cause.

I can not see them going for a straight ballot, I would think it would be done on how many 'points' you have from the last few away games like in Iceland.
Now the posts start about who has been to the most games, who has got the most points etc etc....

Yes, you're probably right. Unfortunately, I was assuming that my 2 away trips in 4 years wouldn't mean automatic allocation and that I'd end up in the ballot with the vast majority of others.
Fingers crossed !

I've got 7 away trips in 7 years so I hope my application will be looked on favourably. Failing that my mate has relatives in Essen who will be able to get us German end tickets.

Couldn`nt agree more with Mick North Croy ,SFA should give the Germans 12 thousand tickets for the same in return when we go to Dortmund.
This would create a cup final atmosphere ,but we would have the edge.

Mitre, like you, I have contacts that may be able to get the odd away end ticket. But would you want to ?
I was at the Turkey v England game in Sunderland ( in the Turkey end ) and that has made me think seriously about going in amongst any other supporters, other than Scottish ( or Dundee ).

If the sfa work on a points system(like iceland)I reckon 2 points(2 away games in the last 2years)will get you a ticket
