A huge big thank-you to all those on the battlebus. Tom made the announcement that I'd go around collecting the spare smash from Lithuania, people put all of their coins in and many put in notes. We made an amazing £150(approximately).
Without wishing to sound like Lenny Henry that's about £2 from each person on the bus, which is eff all to us, but is so much more to people over there, we all know the price of the beer! Imagine how cheap food is (I never got to find out )
Well done everyone
The personal query now, does anyone have any paper clippings, stories, articles, written in the daily papers or any other official channels which I could put into a scrap book? Not only would it be good to have and a reminder of everything which has been achieved (forever), but it would be good for me to show my work to try (no promises) to get one of their weekly charity money contributions (even though we are not registered it would show that we do actually do things). The only one article I know about is Bob's in the Record on 29th March (I don't have a copy!). Is the wee man doing anything about it too? Also if people send pictures of the Lithuania party then I could stick them in too

Ron Scott of The Sunday Post had a small report on it.I have also the local Vilnius papers from Wednesday and Thursday which I am assured by my translator covers it although no photos. Do you know which papers covered it last week? If that was to be confirmed I shall arrange to get a few copies.

bridie boy............i think this is the article gerry`s talking about...........
The Tartan Army`s generosity know`s no bounds. They travelled to Lithuania armed with gifts for 2 local orphanages in Vilnius, and the kids were delighted to receive gifts of backpacks, pencil cases, sweets and even shampoo.
Each orphanage also received a television set and CD player.
Pride of place went to the girl discovered studying journalism,a whip round produced enough money to buy her a laptop.
