Alright TA lads and lassies,
A lot of the Irish took up on the Euro 2004 ticket application from UEFA. However during the weekend, nearly everyone we know has got a mail back saying that the allocation has been over-subscribed, and there are no tickets available. The strange thing is that 19 out of 20 of the people i know who applied, got a mail saying the ticket allocation was oversubscribed, and they would have to try their luck elsewhere.
Was anyone in Alba lucky enough to have not got refused Euro 2004 tickets?
We think there's something fishy going on in UEFA, either they sold out the allocations to corporates, or there's dodgy dealings on going.

I got knocked back too for a ticket for the final ... that's me had knock backs in the ballot for a ticket for the European Cup Finals in Paris, Milan, Glasgow & Old Trafford; the European Championship Finals in Rotterdam & Lisbon, and also the World Cup Final in Yokohama.
0 out of 7 ... I wonder if these tickets do actually exist ?

Just start getting your relatives overseas to write to their local association to obtian ticket for you.
Even though its a UEFA championship I understand countries outwith europe can ask for tickets.
Friend got official letter from Northern Ireland offering him Morocco ticket for 98 after requesting them to obtain tickets. Think they actually ballotted them because of demand. He got all 3 anyway from SFA anyway so didn't take up offer.
Worth a try but have to be quick off the Mark.

I applied for Follow my team section (Scotland - ever the optimist ) Euro 2004. I applied exactly on closing day 15th June. Received confirmation number from uefa and if successful will receive notification around 31st July.
At time of applying it stated Portugal, Germany, Holland, En***nd and Rep Ireland were all over subscribed.
Did not know anything about this system came across it by chance. Unless you get told your getting tickets you don't pay anything so nothing to lose..!!

i applied for follow your team tickets, and also noticed that portugal, germany, england, wales and republic were the only ones over subscribed....but still didn't get tickets. makes you wonder

didn't get them. not much of a shock.
I'm surprised that the follow you team applicants were not succesful as I was led to believe Scotland were way under subscribed. But in saying that its the ticket agencies who would have flooded UEFA with requests for all teams (probably 50:1)

Fecking ticket agents  . So much for selling tickets directly to true fans if most of the tickets have gone to these glorified touts :veryangry:

I hate sticking up for Uefa, but if they are sending the confirmations by post and the sorry but u are unlucky messages by email, arent emails slighty quicker than snail mail???
