Shambles,

If you fancy a wee adventure DFDS from Newcastle to Gothenburg from £114 return, overnight in G/burg, LISCO Line Stockholm to Klaipeda from £114 return.   G/burg to S/holm express in between.   You can also do it a fair bit cheaper from Harwich via Hamburg and take in the famous Reiperbahn, but according to the web site the ferry from Kiel (Germany) to Klaipeda takes 24 hrs so not ideal if your in a hurry and it's an 8 hour drive to Harwich.   Both these routes can be booked through DFDS in the UK.   Don't know about cheap flights to Sweden though.

SHAMBLES,

If you want to try the Battlebus we are booked on it. You can stay at ours in Helsinki and get the boat from there back to Stockholm. The ferry isn`t that expensive from Helsinki.

Mick,

Aye, and many other reasons.   Mostly involving drink.   The reason for the mad routes is Mrs Knucklheeds refusal to fly, but it always makes for an interesting journey.

Rents,

As Berlin is a fair hike fae Kiel you might be as well flying Ryanair to Frankfurt fae Prestwick and miss oot **gland.   It's no any closer tae the ferryport though.
