OK, so it's impossible to get a flight from the UK to Iceland for less than £700. Checked the net and travel agents. My own employers travel company won't confirm anything til 2 weeks before.
So, anyone got any suggestions? I'm thinking either ferry from Scotland, or fly from France, Germany, or Scandinavia. Hmmm

Hi bry! got it sorted. Icelandair from Stockholm for not too bad a price.  Just need a bed now.
Yeah, I am from Invershneck, but have been away for a couple years now.

Shneckie you should try the hostel as that's where most of the guys from the Heb charter are staying, I think there's a link on Iceland Tourist info. site
Won't be much of this going on there though.

The hostel was fully booked when I tried getting accomodation (eventually got an apartment though) but they put us in touch with the tourist board (tourinfo@tourinfo.is) who gave us a big list of all the accomodation in Reykjavik.
If you get in touch with them I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.
