To the few who actually have the good grace to congratulate England on outplaying and beating the tournament favourites and one of the strongest sides in the world - thank you. We have waited a long time for this.
To the rest - stick it up your ****.
A bigger bunch of whinging, sour-faced, bitter, jealous, unpleasant, small-minded bad losers I have never seen anywhere.
Most of you haven't even got the good grace to admit we put up one of our best ever performances.
After confidently predicting Argentina to win, all you can do is moan about how Owen dived.
Now I know you boys aren't really used to watching decent football but if a player as quick as Owen runs past a defender who has his leg stuck out - it is a penalty. Simple as that. Collina gave it immediately, no question.
Oh, and we should have scored at least two more as well.
Contrast that with Argentina's laughable efforts to break us down - I think Seaman had one real save to make.
Now if Argentina had won you'd have celebrated it as much as if Scotland had managed to win a World Cup match (you'll have to use your imagination).
So by my reckoning that makes you just as vulnerable to English gloating when Argentina lose.
Which leaves me only one thing to say.....

Have you heard of the word "Rivalry" I am sure you have a club team you love to see lose and if not you are a very unusual football fan. Football would not be the same without it.
And finally we would not be expected to congratulate any other team so why do we have to congratulate yours.

I think the general build-up to this game and the fact that MANY people on here have posted asking where they can buy Argentina tops is a fairly strong indication of the level of support for Argentina in Scotland. I bet the pubs were packed out with people supporting Argentina. Hence the fact that we're going to gloat about it now we've won. You can't wear an Argentina top (maybe you personally don't but plenty do) when Argentina are playing England and then turn around and say "I don't care" when England win. It doesn't work like that. Just because you all anticipated an Argentinian victory doesn't mean you can suddenly pretend you weren't supporting them when they lose.
If we had lost you along with everyone else would have taken the pīss as much as you possibly could. Now we win suddenly the board is full of "Owen is a cheat" crap.

If you're not going to congratulate us, fine. I don't have a problem with that.
Would you have congratulated Argentina? I think you might have.
If our game is so meaningless then why the hundreds of posts moaning about Owen's penalty and calling us cheats?

It wouldn't be a penalty unless a foul was commited by the defender. Simply running past a player doen't earn you a penalty.

Lamia - sorry I didn't reply last night.
I've just worked out this morning that in an hour on the board I managed to actually type 5 messages 'cos I was so Magoo'd. Feqin keyboards - no easy after a 12 hour session!!
So aboot 1am I realised that discretion would be....(etc), and retired (un)gracefully for the night.
I wisnae in the huff.......honest!

Did I say anything which indicated otherwise. Refer back to my rivalry comment please. But I can assure you that this "support" is nothing like our support of our own country matey!!

And finally I did not see the game so cannot comment one way or another and have not I think you will find. (I have seen the penalty incident and nothing more.)

Bzzzz - I had presumed that your estimation of me was at rock-bottom anyway as it happens - but I'm sorry to hear it has just got worse  Well done on getting a hooligan reference in though. Oh, and saying it is ME who as the inferiority issue - good one! I'm not the one obsessed with the result of a game between two foreign countries in a competition my team isn't playing in - am I?
Lamia - I apologise for being presumptious. I should have perhaps qualified my post with the clarification that I used "you" in the collective sense, i.e. all those who were moaining loads about the penalty etc. I wasn't specifically referring to you personally. It was just bloody annoying to see the hundreds of posts bleating about how Owen apparently dived.
Anyway, to those who thought my post was a childish an immature piece of gloating - it was, and I make no apology. We don't get very many days like this, and I intend to fully enjoy it 
Don't forget, we will probably lose to Nigeria and go out - your turn to gloat will come soon enough........

Ah - perhaps you forgot to tell the hundreds of TA members who have already posted on the subject then? They obviously didn't realise that official TA policy (as declared by you) was to pretend that it wasn't important and that you wouldn't have been over the moon if Argentina had won.
I'd have taken the stick on here if we'd been beaten - and I'd have got plenty of it. I find it a bit sad that some people can't bear to see an England fan happy that his team won.

OK - fine - I didn't mean to stir up this much bad feeling. I honestly thought that most people on this board would be able to take me coming on here and giving it large - just grit your teeth and wait for the inevitable crash when we go out - but clearly that wasn't the case.
I apologise for being euphoric about beating the favourites and our biggest enemies and promise never to mention England again

CUFC, As I have said before you are entitled to your opinion as we are. You are entitled to be happy about your result. We are are equally entitled to wish all this misfortune that you deserve (agian in our opinion)
I just take exception to your self appointed crusade to rubbish everything that you disagree with in this board.
Why do you even expend the energy? I have two kids and a demanding job and am selective about what I choose to do. What is your motivation for hanging around here choosing to pick "fights" when you have the choice to do otherwise?

There's a big difference. I don't know what happened. For the first time i saw Zanetti losing balls, Verņn playing a bad game, a very bad not-interested-about-the-ball Batistuta, such as Crespo.
Nothing about Ortega: as he plays for "River Plate" (an Argentine football club with an E*****H name!!!!!!), he is obviously a SH*T!
For the first time i saw Bielsa changing Verņn.
We didn't fight at all. We didn't play. That wasn't Argentina.
