Having checked out these "value" products i cant believe some of the prices. So, if anyone knows how good their gear is please comment (kilts, sporrans, etc) or if you live near the shop maybe you could have a look.
Appreciate your help.

It's a shirt shop - one that sells to business men.  It is not a tourist shop, hence the prices.

Good quality stuff, and has some unique products.

Highly recomend.

The Kilts ARE for tourists, very lightweight, certainly not 9 yards and I would suggest if you are after a kilt then go ex hire.
The rest of their clothing however is excellent quality and all in all it is a good shop

Kilts are pretty crap.  Seen a few at games, and they don't look too good after a couple of days on tour- unless you're bringing an iron   Rest of the stuff looks OK.

OK, now that you'v narrowed it down a bit, I would not recomend the kilts.

A new kilt will cost £250+ - do you think a 35 quid kilt will be good quailty?

Spend the extra 70 quid and get an ex-hire one.  Plenty of shops out there selling them

I got a pair of 'Boru' tartan breeks there - the piss for which, I am still getting taken from me! However, the quality of these are very good, and the prices more than reasonable.

Kilts are nothing better than a stop gap for the real thing; wear for one or two days at a time. Anything more and they literally fall apart at the back- met a guy in Kaunas who had bought one before Lithuania and in the ground, he looked as if he was in his wee sisters school skirt!

So, for the same price as the kilt, invest in a pair of their trousers. A few choices of tartan and you can take the hem up for as long or short as your legs are!

Well worth a jaunt if in the capital. Subscribe to their mailing list - you get details of 10% off a certain item every day e-mailed to you.
