theres a great worry that Douglas will be replaced by Hedman (which is a reason for us to panic!)
as we need a quality keeper, then I got thinking(!!!)...
How about we find a new keeper and I thought of Stefan Klos (and the fact he may qualify for us via residency)
now before you all pounce on me the reasons are quite simple we need a good goalie whos playing 1st team fitbaw and he is both!
If he was to play as 1st choise goalie id only want it if Douglas loses his place
I care about my national team and thats why im suggesting this

Rip snorter of an idea, I'm sure Berti is investigating the possibility as we speak.
In fact, why don't we go one better and do this for every position that we need a better player? Then we can have a team full of foreign Old Firm rejects who have lived in Scotland for a few years, and English first division players who couldn't even point Scotland out on a map.
And then we can just abandon International football completely.
Why didn't anyone else think of that...

I don't think Douglas is doing anything wrong, he's just got a wee bit of competition now that Hedman is fully fit, that's all. Even if O'Neill plays Hedman for the first matches of the season, I think "Big Rab" will get his chance - he proved to Martin O'Neill that he's a high quality keeper last season.

I simply want the best team too play, and was thinking of helping the national squad as for Klos being an OF reject hes the best goalie in the SPL at present!
we need an on form match fit goalie

as for Rab losing his place, think that a bit harsh by O'neill as i dont think rab has done anything to warrent being dropped. Competition for places, dropping someone just because someone else has recovered from an injury and they havent really played yet is just out of order!

i just want a top quality keeper I recon Douglas will lose his place as Hedman is a better keeper (my head talking not my heart)

I think if Big RAB plays reserve fitba he will probably will be kept more busy than first team games and therefore in my simplistic thinking be a better Goalie , He is the Best we have

Has Klose not lived in Germany since he was 9 or something? That's slightly different than living here for a few years because your job is here.
And I don't care what other countries choose to do particularly, so we might compete a wee bit better if we start going down this residency route and if we can find anyone out there who would want to play for Scotland despite it not being their own country. But I'd quite like my national team to be Scottish in more than name only. And how the hell can we improve the Scots that we do have if they're not getting a run in the team because of some journeyman.
If nothing else, it undermines international football.

celtic have played one competitive match this season and rab was playing, i think that means that, for the time being, hes still number 1, he'll certainly get enough games this month to be match sharp for germany.
Worrying long term tho I agree he'll probably chuck one in for celtic and get replaced soon - for the reason id like to see alexander of gallacher get some more game time in friendlies
