Hot of the press,I've just spoken to Davie Ross and he's going to do the talk on the Saturday morning again,it was a brilliant talk ,he took us through Wallace's life with a slide show and his patter,he also had a number of weapons with him,I think Mirza has some photos on his web site of these.This should be in the Royal Hotel again I'm just waiting on confirmation.

Aye, there are some photos on NATA web site. Thanks to Davie we took some with swords, including a replica of Wallace 6ft sword. 
Glad to hear about the presentation again. It is superb and a very interesting and an extensive one (and to be honest I didn't catch everything as I was too tired after PTA bevy treatment night before - but here is a chance again!).

Battlebus commander has put the phone number for the HOTEL on his message,mind and tell them what you are coming up for.There is a campsite in Stonehaven about 5 minutes from the Town Hall,no point in camping at the castle you'll never get up the hill after Gaberlunzie its about half an hour from the Hall all uphill.
Anyone needing any help with accomodation just send me an e mail and it would be useful to know how many are coming and I can reserve tables for the TA.

Jist phoned up the royal hotel to book a room,they said that the hotel could be booked that weekend for a party of bowlers!he is awaiting confirmation,he did take my number & said he would call me back Mon/Tuesday next week & let me know.

I'm going in to see the guy tonight, they told the Battlebus commander that the bowlers had cancelled unless they thought he might have been a bowler,if you don't get into the hotel theres plenty of places round about ,any hassle e mail me

The one in Stonehaven has been going for 22 years and some of the biggest turn outs were before Braveheart,all Braveheart done was take Wallace to a wider audience across the world but loads of people knew about him and his life long before the film was ever thought about.I can also remember attending Wallace rallies at Elderslie in the early 80s when there was huge turn outs,and even further back when the foundation stone for the Wallace monument was laid there was a crowd of 80,000 turned out to see the stone being placed so if anything Wallace is not yet back to the level of popularity he once was.

Confirmation from the Hotel that they have rooms,their web site is http://www.royal-hotel.sagenet.co.uk I think Battlebus commander got a cheaper rate than the advertised one.Davie Ross will be speaking at 11am in the nightclub at the Hotel so you can sit with a beer and listen to Davie talk about Wallace.

Fri night is Aberdeen at the Wallace statue and then Scottish band Jaggy thistle at the Masada bar just up the road from the statue,this is being run by Jim Sinnger another TA regular.
Sat is Stonehaven from 11am through till whenever with a wee walk up to Dunnottar castle in between.
If there are enough folk staying 2 nights in Stoney we can sort out some transport up and back to Aberdeen for the Fri night event.
