Sweden has Larssen and Mjallby and Abba once played in Glasgow. Argentina has Cannigia and Maradona once played for Hibs (or was that George McCluskey?).
Does anyone have any idea if Nigeria has any links to Scotland (however ambiguous, football or non-football related)?

I think Alan Ormen's wife-to-be is Nigerian and he was wanting to play for them using that link.

Well a while back there was a whole heap of people in Edinburgh ripped off by a scam originating in Nigeria.
Does that count?

Forgot about Alen Ormen. That'll probably do...unless anyone can come up with anything better. I don't think Livingston made it as far as Nigeria.
PS - I need an Argentina flag by Thursday afternoon latest. My old man has a flag pole stuck in the middle of his back garden and wants to replace the massive saltire with an Argentina flag on Friday. Any suggestions?

From Nigeria to Fife
A Nigerian Minister and charity worker from Cardenden in Fife is helping hundreds of people across the world thanks to a computer course in Glenrothes.
Joe Nwokoye heard about the course, which is a joint venture between Glenrothes College and the YMCA he attends, and was keen to find out more.
Joe, 43, says:
"When I first came to the class I knew nothing about computers. I was keen to learn as I knew it would help me with my charity work in Nigeria and India. The course has benefited me a great deal. I now have good word processing skills and I can use e-mail and the Internet."
"I do not have a computer at home and so I come in nearly every week to write letters and e-mail. I know if I get stuck with something the course tutor is always on hand to help out."
In Nigeria, where Joe comes from, there are approximately 120 million people and families have to pay for their children to go to school. There are also very few computers and the ones that are available are old models.
Joe said
"While visiting Nigeria recently I wanted to send an e-mail back home. It took me three days to access a computer at the local college since the demand for computers is so high."
"To try and help the situation I have started to take donated, second hand computers out to Nigeria. My long-term aim is to set up a school which has lots of computers for the pupils to use."
"People in Scotland are very lucky. If there was a course like this in Nigeria which was free they would be queuing for miles to take part."
will that do Aitchy ?

Jimbers we've already had a black Scotsman, but what has colour got to do with it?
So long as he's a good player and satisfies the eligibilty rules I'll cheer on anyone who pulls on the dark blue shirt.

We've got one already - Kevin Harper, who it seems is the only half-decent player not to have been given a chance by Berti. Still time I suppose.
Re Fife Nigerian - Top notch. Thanks for that one Mick!
