exactly what is a TA spokesman anyway?..i know that many scottish nationalistic views are not acceptable to a helluva lotta TA persons anyway... and more importantly, as a long suffering observer of the record's twisted and inane slant on scotland, and claiming the right to speak against shite newspaper reporting (ie evening times..sunday mail...herald..scotsman..etc), don't flatter yourself bob..your rag aint alone in your warped sense of 'scottishness'...(basically brit-lackies with heather up-their-ass apologetic column space). perhaps if you in the scots 'meedja', realised that most of us don't buy the 'murdoch' slant on uk politics..then you'll stop infesting this board with your crummy and downright lame explanations..

Boab,

As somebody who "knows and trusts" Mr Adie, do you want to explain why he hasnt been to a Scotland away game since 1998.

Did this bloke phone the newspapers himself to become

I think the "Hampden Roar" should be the TA spokesperson.

I said I knew Ian Adie - I didn't say I was his private secretary. I don't know when he last went to a game.
But I do know how newspapers work. Its not a matter of laziness - every reporter has his own contacts book which is his bible. Some sports guys will have Vogts mobile, showbiz guys will have Rod Stewart's number etc
All I'm saying is that almost every journalist will have Ian Adie's name filed under Tartan Army. Is that what we want? No? Then give us another name and another number.
Websites are fine - but not if you're writing your copy from the car park outside Hampden, the back of a car . . . or even the pub!!!
Sorry to keep 'infesting' the site.

Boab, dinnae be daft yer no infesting, we need contact with people from within the press and media so that we can get our points and voices heard, generally and through the usual channels (writing, phonecalls, email etc) our voice becomes fainter and fainter till it isnt heard at all...
also interesting to hear how it is received, reaction etc... I personally find it very interesting to hear your comments, I like to hear explainations for example regarding the Ian Adie thingy, interesting to hear an explaination from your side, many stories go deeper than what we get in print.
I, like many of the bunch here are more than interested to find out what the medias motivation is and the attitude towards us...

Bob - you should be the TA spokeperson!

Your DR collegues would know where to find you (poss.), and other paper's reporters could just read the DR for quotes. Perfect.

You've been known to go to a few games, haven't you?

Sorted.

bob..please don't take my last post as a personal attack (i do tend to spout off a bit too much)..i'm just voicing my concerns regards the scottish media and its reporting of scottish issues in general...i come from a journo background and know how the game works. its still difficult to stomach at times though!!...and of course, as bzzzz will testify..i am satan!
