TAC as this is one game where surely we can fill Hampden the venue should not need confirming.
My reasons for saying we can fill Hampden are that I think a lot of irish supporters will come over or at least come from the east End of Glasgow  or even Croy

Aye, this has to be at Hampden, surely - moving it to Edinburgh or Aberdeen would make it a lot harder for the Irish fans (from Rutherglen and the like ). Let's face it - it could be a massive joint party to celebrate the success of the 2008 bid.

Wey hey - 500 posts!!!!

Don't mean to throw this posting into turmoil but, I heard a wee rumour that April 2003 was meant to be a friendly in Prague.

Naw I'd have made a better one up than that, like a quadruple header Prague then Zagreb then Tallin then Wembley for 1 last kick around.

If we get 2008, I would like to think we could play the game at Murrayfield? 66,500 capacity - why not!

I'll dread a game against the Irish as it will bring all those plastic paddy arseholes whose great great great grandma came fae there and the seem tae think thats where there loyalties lie, it does my head in that the Irish wear celtic strips watching their national team, I stand alone but a really cannae go them that much

Fresh ideas

Aw come on maqueen - theres nothing wrong with the Irish. I love having a bevvy with their boys - and by the way - they are exactly like us. Can't think of a better world cup group then one that includes us and them.

Like everyone else though I'm sick to the feckin back teeth of the guys born and bred in Scotland who pledge allegiance to our cousins over the water for no other reason than they support the 'tic. Feel sorry for a lot of my pals who are Celtic/Scotland supporters but feel guilty telling anyone else at Parkhead.

Loads of discussion on this board about the Rangers/E*gland connection but not very much about the Scottish Tims who are in just as awkward a position as the Scottish Huns when they follow their club.
