Talks too much

Got the last two weeks in May off and planning and going away for one of the weeks wae the burd.  As the first week coincides with the UEFA Cup final in Seville, I'm tempted to book a package deal to Malaga, probably Torremolinos, in the hope that Celtic beat Boavista.  Anyway under normal circumstances would never contemplate a package holiday to Malaga as I've very negative view of it; drunken English louts, nothing to do but sit of the beach all day.

So anyone thatís been there, as a person who likes to do something during the day other than sit on the beach, am I going to like the place?

Davie,

Went out to Houston, just after I got back from the Faroes.  Unfortunately the job got canned in January, so back working in Aberdeen now.

As for Lith, would'nt miss it.  Flying out Tuesday back Thursday.  No doubt see you there.

GET A LIFE!!!

It was great in 1982 when the TA were there, not a drunken Englishman in sight............for long !
It`s not a bad place and a good jumping off spot for travel with good train and bus services to most of the good places.

Something to say

Costa Del Sol resorts like Torremolinos & Benalmadena are ok actually. Mostly Scandinavians & Germans. Easy day trips to Granada, Mijas & Gibraltar if you like a bit of sightseeing. Cruzcampo the local ale is pretty darn good.

Fresh ideas

Malaga is great old city - most tourists land in malaga then head down the coast to the resorts, malaga has heaps of old tapas bars wi just friendly locals.. went to a game last year - the wildest fans are behind the home goal..staduim is a bit dodgy concrete jungle..

Agree with your summary hairydejanairy, been to costa del sol 6 times, only ever visited malaga once, plenty to do,we ended up at malaga/barca match, theres a quality sherry bar in the centre of town, you can also catch train which takes you as far as fuengirola, stopping at all major tourist resorts like torromolino's,benalmadena.
