Six of us booked in Amsterdam on the Monday and Tuesday enroute to Dortmund then on the Thursday on the way back.

Ibis is about 120€, we are at The Terminus 3* and 90€, it is two minutes walk from the station. Have stayed here before for a week when we played the Dutch a few years ago.

There is a web site.

Something to say

Last Wednesday Gas Meter and I stayed in the Best Western Eden for 65 Euros per room per night. It's at/on/in the Amstel, within easy walking distance of Dam Square, Durty Nellie's and shops selling 18 inch tadgers.

Te Crown in the RLD is cheap and nasty but has very late bar.  Stayed there years and years ago but it's been done up since.

You might not want to stay there beucase of all the union jacks though.......

Nice place to stay and right on the edge of the Red Light District.

Pretty good.

There's a bar, although it doesn't open late. A coffeeshop right next door. Close to Dam square and close to loads o' pubs.

All the rooms were in the middle of being done up when I was there in November so they should be well on their way to being finished now.

We are staying there on the Sunday night. A 4 bed room & a 3 bed room. Costing €227 (£21 a night). Think it is a 3 star hotel and has an ideal location next to Damrak/Red Light. Bar opens to 05.00 every night and also has a club.

I stayed in the RHO Hotel also in 2000 and it was very good too.
20 yards from Dam square and other local "entertainments" too
