Anyone else struggling for a hotel room? All the websites I've tried are saying there are no rooms available. Cannae believe that.

Have you considered Hostels, if not try the Haraldsheim hostel which is 3miles North of the City Centre and is close to one of the tram routes.
A few of us stayed there on the way back from the Battlebus tour a few weeks ago and found it ok.

The Perminalen has spaces, but they're dorms if that suits anyone. There are loads of hotels available, but you'll have to pay through the nose....

i only booked a couple the accom a couple of weeks ago and was plenty of rooms then

We got the Radisson SAS Plaza (5 star hotel) for �80 a night for a twin room.
Bearing in mind how expensive Oslo is sure to be & we're there for only two nights, I thought �40 a head per night for a hotel I would never usually stay in not bad.

I've gone through a ton of travel websites. Loads of rooms available but it seems you're going to have to pay at least �30 pppn for a hotel in Oslo city centre. Apart from the odd hostel and thon boat (which is full) I can't find anything cheaper. Anyone got any more suggestions?

Nope. Cedric was acquired (for 40 feckin quid!!!) in Faroe Islands airport. Now takes pride of place on Elvis' TV.
