Scots edged out by China
Scotland suffered a 1-0 defeat against China at Livingston's City Stadium.
But manager Vera Pauw was not too despondent after seeing her side push the 1999 World Cup finalists.
"I was really pleased with them," she said. "Bringing the best teams to Scotland can only help our players develop.
"They were confident against one of the best teams in the world."
Ayr United's Donna James created a number of chances in the opening 45 minutes.
And the Scots felt they should have been awarded a penalty when Julie Fleeting was brought down in the box.
The sides went into the break deadlocked but the stalemate only lasted until two minutes after the interval.
The visitors broke up field and Bi Yan planted the ball past Gemma Fay, who otherwise had a good game in the Scottish goal.
Despite the best efforts of James and midfielder Nicky Grant, Scotland could not find the equaliser.

I'm quite proud of that!! I had about half the stand in stitches with the "female deer" part!!!
