I know a lot of us planning on going to Dortmund via the Easyjet-Amsterdam route, anyone know when seats for September 03 are likely to go on sale?
At present they are only taking bookings 'til March 2003.

I was thinking of goin that way as well. Im sure someone posted a few weeks ago that the flights were due to go on the website sometime in December, dont know if that is the case or not. Problem is that the flights to Dortmund  from Stansted are too early to arrive down there on the day. Dont know wether to go to Amsterdam on the Sunday and get the train on the Monday or just do the same trip without stopping in Amsterdam on the Monday.

What do you reckon Easyjet flights would cost if I got in early enough?
I was charged £200 for a flight to Amsterdam in way of  the Belgium game, but by then there was no alternative by then.Greedy barstewards-when they sniff a big demand, they seem to treble the price....
Well stung.

The good thing about Amsterdam,is that they are very polite, they all speak excellent English,(better than US!)....and their transport system is second to none.Amsterdam is a major transport hub.
If you get stranded anywhere, try to make it Amsterdam-they do their best to help you.Why can't WE have train stations under our Airports??

Anyone who's flown from Paris,Berlin,(Heathrow!)will testify to the fact that their language skills and hearing are selective, and it can be a soul destroying experience, especially in a crisis. One missed my connection in Paris by 10 seconds-they just shut the gate on me,after needlessly driving me round  the airport clockwise on some stupid bus.My pleading fell on deaf ears-and they suddenly forgot how to speak English!! Had to wait 10 hours for the next flight, with a food voucher written in French, which I couldn't spend,as the restaurant staff couldn't speak English either.Felt like a right tube.
La Belle France.

I paid either £55-£65 return for Glasgow-Amsterdam en-route to the Brussels game, I'd hope to be paying something similar.

That's what we're planning to do - Easyjet to Amsterdam on the Sunday, and then train to Dortmund on the Monday.

From what I can work out from the Dutch Rail web site, the train is 77 Euros return, or you can get a Eurolines bus to Dusseldorf (nearly Dortmund) for 40 Euros.

Easyjet have told me the flights should be on sale in December sometime.

Any idea of who long it takes on the bus. Maybe a bit less hassle a suppose if ye get the train to Dortmund.
