Well, it's obvious isn't it.
We're gonna win.
Get yer bets on early for good odds, cos they'll get a lot shorter after the qualifiers.

Spain will fancy their chances, but let's see what happens between now and then because anyone who thinks they can pick the winner 2 years ahead of time is nuts.

I agree Jam... they are by far and away the greatest country in the world and were only denied their true destiny of winning the world cup, by having to play against some difficult teams.....poor lambs.
We'll win it no problem... Infact I'm off to get the 500-1 I saw at a local William Hills

Good point Crozzer, as long as there are no good teams in Portugal the trophy is as good as England's.
Fingers crossed that Scotland make it through their qualifying group then!

Portugal have to be one of the favourites, but I think Germany will go all the way.
England's chances of getting there will depend on who they get in the play-offs. Turkey are the only team in that group who will finish above them.
We've got a real scrap with Iceland for second place. Hope we make it though - Portugal deserves us to qualify...

"Turkey are the only team in that group who will finish above them"
Surely you mean Turkey are the only team who COULD finish above us? Or is it a certainty (just like Germany/Sweden/Argentina/Nigeria/Denmark beating us was a sure thing )?
If so, I'm happy with that.
I'm pretty confident. I know Turkey are a decent outfit and we have to play in Istanbul for our last game, but I reckon we'll win the group. Especially if they play Hakan Sukur against us

Depends which Hakan Sukur - the one that couldn't do anything right for the first six games in the WC, or the one that turned up for the play-off, scored one and made two.

I reckon we'll get second easily enough I have faith in Bertie and the boy's....
I also think the Welsh might surprise even themselves and make the play-offs, I think the old dragon is begining to smoke again.

They've got a chance but it's a tough group, so I think heartbreak beckons yet again for Cymru.

CUFC,
that wasn't the real Hakan Suker - it was Owen Coyle!!!
We all knew that, and they still made the semis!
