darius ir gireno stadion:kaunas,lithuania
Home of local football team FBK Kaunas, and the national olympics team of lithuania, the stadion holds between a 10,000-14,400 capacity, with only 2 main stands, with a rounded effect. Also contains a score board and a running track around the pitch.Only became national stadion for Lithuanian Football last year during the 2002 world cup quils,as it was the Fk Zalgiris vilnius stadium in vilnius, which contained only 2,000 seats, with the rest wooden bench as seating, thats also where scotland played in 1998 in a 0.0 game.Darius ir gereno held its first national game for lithuania last year against italy in a 0.0 draw. You can find pictures of the ground at the addresses down the bottom. Also a meer home support of around 5,000 should attend the game.
cheers.....

The supporters for the game for the home side wont be alot, but they will rise to the occasion they see scotland as a big team and when they play a big teams they bring a good few along. But l remember from the 98 game it was a HOT day but l think the support was crud,it was free for kids and £12 for adults. But scotland may have had more than lithuania along the stand with the multi-coloured seats.Lets hope its a good crowd this time round
regards.
