No dont worry it isn't the drugs they gave me at the hospital, I dont think they will win it.
As they are our next opponents at home ,just wondered what people think of them, they had one of the best records in the qualifying I think but did the group flatter them, think they beat Czech republic into second who were beaten by Belgium of course in the play off.
I heard they were the only team who won every game in their group?
Who thinks they will do well in the world cup, I think they could be one of the dark horses.?
maybe a quarter final place or better?
Im hoping of course that Croatia and Belgium do well,at least we'll know we didn't go out to rubbish teams.
They'll be an excellent test as well for the team that should be roughly the one to play the Faroes.

Think that the Danes will get through the group stage but then ought to meet the Argies, so that curtains for the Danes.

My prediction as dark horses are Portugal and hopefully Nigeria

Cannae see it myself. They're in a relatively difficult group...France, Uruguay (who knows what team might turn up there), and Senegal, who I don't think will be a pushover.
They have one of these Belgium/Norway/Czech type teams....all big fother muckers, hard to beat, but lacking that wee bit of flair that will push them one stage further.
I'd put them even with Uruguay to get second place in the group.....so they'll probably win the World Cup now.

just thought I'd bring this back up.

must admit I didnt expect them to do this well.

Big Doug, who'd have thought it eh??.

Rossy, bet your hoping they get at least one stage further.

Will, hopefully Lovenkrands will get his run now, as maybe Gronkjaer has a groin strain.
bloody typical now I've transferred him.

Should make the game in August a good one anyway.

Personally I think it will be a tough 2nd round for both teams. I think if we (England) perform to our best we should win - man for man I think we have the better players, but Denmark are playing well, so we will have to be at our best.
Anyone know the news on Thomasson's injury?

£20 on 3-1 Denmark at 33/1...

If it comes up I'll be photocopying my bookies slip and winnings so I can post them to that stationery company who phoned up the Iron Horse last week!

Fingers crossed.

Sounds like a good bet Ally,
No goals from open play for England, depending on referee decisions against a team who have done really well! I'd like to see Lovenkrandts take them on down the wing there.

Anyway, I think if England are to have any form this could be the game to do it but there is no evidence that they can so 33/1 is probably worth a snifter.

Odds are great - thanks to all our southron friends thinking they're gonna win!

5-6 England to win
(scabby corner and a dodgy penalty)
3-1 Denmark to win
(5 goals! Beat the World and Euro champions!)
2-1 draw

after 90 mins obviously!

Its crying out for a wee bet...

3 -1 odds isn't bad I admit, but I think you'll be losing your money.
clydeman - I will be having a great day until at least 2:15, whatever the result. If we win it it will be f***ing fantastic day!
We will see.

even 2-1 the draw is worth a few bob, which it probably will be after 90.
3-1 is taking the p iss, 2 goals in 3 games who are they trying to kid!!!!.
hedge your bets , no way will they be winning at the 90!!

2 goals in three games, but one against Argentina, and the final match was 94 degrees. I don't think England have really dropped in form since Argentina, they just struggle in the heat. That shouldn't be a problem tomorrow. (although it will in the quarters if we get through)

You obviously didn't count on the strength of England when placing that Argentina bet! (although I did have a little flutter my self...)
Sweden did score more, but conceded more too. Our defence is looking like our stong point at the moment. If Owen can find form that spells good news (for us anyway).
Ian L: Brazil have good players, but I think their defence is very weak. If we do get that far I really think the heat will be our biggest problem, I think it would be our toughest match because of that, whoever we played, you only have to look how tired the players were in the last half against Nigeria. As I say, IF we get there I'll be hoping for rain - no doubt you'll be hoping for a heat wave!
