According to the BBC Sport website, the Rebel 10 have handed in their resignations from the SPL.
Well done to all ten for having the balls to carry through their threat - with a particular mention to Partick Thistle who have resigned from a league that they have yet to play in!

However, that relies on both of the SFL winners meeting the stadium criteria. Given that only two teams in Div 1 (Saints Mirren & Johnstone) do so, that is far from certain.
Also assumes that neither of the OF get relegated!

This may be wrong, but I heard that the team who gets promoted from Div1 next season automatically inherits the status of the tem they replace in the SPL.
Thus if Hearts go down and Ayr get promoted, Ayr would not need to give their notice as they would take the position of hearts.
This is quite possibly nonsense but i heard it somewhere.
