As you are from that neck of the woods, have you any idea what became of this guy? He certainly made himself a bit of a hero here in Scotland a few years back and I think he played for a while in Italy. Havenae heard aboot him recently. Any ideas? Did he ever make it as a pop star??

He released an album while playing in Italy with Padova in serie A (two seasons, in the first one he scored twice vs. AC Milan and Torino). Incidently when they sold him they were immediately relegated to Serie B.

shimmy -- didn't know the answer but a quick web search revealed that jonny's spot on, Alexei has retired from the US national team and plays for Los Angeles. apparently he's also trying to make a country music career -- here's a link to a partial interview with him
