Fame Academy? Itís a pile of poo, isntít it? Raith Roversís most least-wanted fan is clearly losing a pile of cash in a project he has clearly invested heavily in. Is he not getting the look of a desperate, greedy man? Pop Idol apears to be taking it to the cleaners, of more than likely the BBC dustbin. And despite attempts to Ďliven it upí with a fake feud between Park and Northern Irish nonentity Patrick Kielty, it is still one of the poorest programmes on TV. And us license payers, or those of us who are actually paying it, are picking up the tab!
What puzzles me is that no-one has ever asked Richard (formerly Dr Dickís Midnight Surgery on Radio Clyde) the questions every Weedgie wants to know...
So tell me, Richard, do you still keep in touch with Tiger Tim? And what happened to the í12-incherí you guys were supposed to send me back in 1979?!
Alex to win, Alistair for the big record deal. The rest... forget it. Particularly the egocentric one-trick pony Peter. The Christiano Ronaldo of the music world! What an erse! You would never tire of slapping him.

Have no idea about Fame Academy or Pop Idol but anyone who knew Tiger Tim can't be all bad...
On the issue of TV, if anyone can point out a programme worth watching I would be very grateful. There is usually one a year and I invariably miss it cos I never bother checking what's on because for the rest of the year nothing is.

It must be sometime around 1981 and the Radio Clyde Roadshow came to our local community centre. Guest DJ for the evening was the one and only Tiger Tim.
Anyway, they were doing some stupid competition & I got dragged up onto the stage. Tiger Tim was interviewing all the contestants including me. At this point a load of my mates started up the chant
"Tiger Tim, Tiger Tim" at which point the bold Tiger goes
"Thanks very much fans" only to get the reply
"You're a wanker, you're a wanker".
Then a roll & sausage comes flying out of the audience and hits Tiger right in the dish.
The Radio Clyde roadshow came back several times, but I don't think Tiger ever made it back to Stewarton for some reason.
Does anyone remember Tiger's bold attempt to crossover to TV - The Untied Shoelaces Show, pathetic.
Getting back to Richard - or Ibrox Park as Jock Stein referred to him, I've always thought that the combination of him and Jimmy Sanderson doing the football on the radio has never been bettered.
