I totally agree Bzzzz. Why do the SFL feel that teams have to be seeded? At this stage of the competition all teams should be drawn from the same pot. Why should Rangers, Celtic et al have the benefit of knowing they'll play against a lesser team.

I'm happy to let the Hibees think they're up against a 'lesser team' - the South will soon teach them some manners!

Presumably the sponsors want as many of the bigger teams as possible to stay in it until the later rounds. More money for them.
I totally agree though. Cup games shouldn't be seeded.

Personally, I think that Queens will give Hibs a run for their money and I would not be surprised if they came away from Easter Road with a result. Here's hoping anyway.

Sorry to be a party pooper but I think this cup is a waste of time now. As soon as they took Europe away from it it's meaningless.
I think it should be scrapped. Would be quite happy going out in the first game. Pointless.

I would agree Davey - think the crowds the other night showed that an awful lot of fans agree with you too. Just over 5000 at Easter Road and Tannadice, less than 4000 at Pittodrie....can't see many more turning up for the next round either.

Thankfully not Rossy!
Not much better mind you - DUFC.
What a mouth-watering tie we have with Livingston. So that'll be 5 times we play them this season, maybe even 6 or 7 if we get them in the Scottisdh Cup as well.
No disrespect to Livi, but I don't want to play them - or anyone else - that many times a season. No wonder the crowds are dreadful.
24,000 fans at 10 CIS games on Tuesday night. What an average that is.

I love the cups. as a lower league fan its always a nice atmosphere at the grounds as we are pushing for our name to be known. and also make a bit of cash through big games :-)
Bring on the Dundee!

Aye but seeding.
I thought there was meant to be a bit of glory About wee teams in the latter rounds.
Seeding just ensures that the money stays with the bigger clubs.
It might not be a lot of money to the OF but to those outside of the SPL, I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated.
We didn't want seeding in the play off's, so why the fek have it in our own bludy game.

Something to say |
I have to agree with Davie Boy, must be hard to part with your cash to watch a team play youwho you are going to see another 4 times in one season. Unfortunately there not much you can do as you have to expect the majority of premier teams to be in the latter rounds. I think we have got the tie of the round at Tynecastle. I hope Hearts can give us a bit of a game this time but seriously it should be a cracker. I wont see supporters moaning though if there team gets to the final and they are looking for a big day out.
Bring on the Jambos

Fresh ideas |
If we play like we did against Cowden last night, the Perth Saintees will fancy their chances against the Pars at McDairmid, however we should still go through.
