This could be the game that ruins all those dreams of portugal 2004. This is a must win game.

I agree this is a must win game however we should look at it a bit more positively †than it "could be the game that ruins all those dreams of Portugal 2004"
Remember how bad they were in Kaunas, ok we were p*sh as well, however if it wasn't for a dodgy pen we would have at least got a point as there was no way they were going to score from open play.
Since then Iceland have humped them at home.
In front of a full house at Hampden no problem!!

spot on ak..................they are pure shite, and theres absolutely no reason why we shouldn't hump them by at least 4-0! Am so pissed off that they took three points off us, and so should the players be.
ITS PAYBACK TIME!

Totally agree. They are utter crap and if that horrific night in Kaunas costs us qualification, especially winning the group, which is not beyond the realms of possibility, I will be an extremely unhappy chap.
We'll pump them at Hampden good and proper. Not least because by then they'll have absolutely nothing to play for.

Something to say |
NEVER a good idea to write anyone off as a Scotland fan but agree that at Hampden with a full house we should be too good for Lithuania. Under those circumstances we should never be afraid of anyone at Hampden re the Germans

its scary to think that the group will be finished in lest thatn 2 months and its not even been going for a year - didnt these things used to take longer.
We should be fine against lithy but i forecast a nerve jangling game, at least for a while

There's also the significant fact that The Proclaimers are playing at the Carling Academy in Glasgow the nite before the game! Any other TA kicking off the weekend in style at this gig on the Friday nite???

Therefore, the Proclaimers will play at half-time during the Lithuania game I'll bet.

When I saw group 5 for the first time, I thought itíll be a battle for the first place only between Scotland and Germany. Frankly, Iíve expected more from Iceland and was surprised by Lithuania at the beginning. But it seems that anyone can play football these days.
