In case it has slipped the notice of those who attended the pass of the day was made by my good self to our centre forward. A square ball played from the left to myself, controlled with one touch, I looked up to see my centre just on side, then I chip curled a perfect pass with a delicate bit of backspin over the head of the on coming defender, the ball dropped perfectly for our then running centre forward, who took a touch advancing on a one to one with the goalie and then hit the ball wide. In the dressing room after the game I said to him " when I saw you on the park I thought that you looked like Kevin Kyle, then after I laid on that peach for you, I saw that you played like him also" †

A move so good you had to post it in two threads HR!.

I think that was the one where Westa 5556 shouted, Hawkeye, was that a cross or a shot?

and I said
'Mind he's a hun Tam, definitely won't have been a cross'

I've never seen legs move so fast since I last watched the Road-Runner, hawkeye. That blazin run up the wing which led to your premature retiral was a sight to behold!

aye, fight and you may die - run and you will live, for at least a while.  And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing, to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, JUST ONE CHANCE TO COME BACK HERE AND TELL OUR ENEMIES THAT THEY MAY TAKE OUR LIVES, BUT THEYLL NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM!!!

That chest control to set up the goal was quality Shambles. Kyle could only dream of having such a good first touch.

Great day out, though very sore head this morning!!!
Cheers Ruary for such a brilliant and well organised day.
What about Gerry Mcabe an absolute cracking game he had.
I think the scoreline flattered them.
But well done to the players and supporters.

thanks WHJH, i think it was more a case of the ball falling nicely between ma tits than having a good first touch! can anyone remind me who was playing at left back for dukla, think he`s an ex-morton player?

Fresh ideas

A great day, thoroughly enjoyed it. Next year we'll bring more down from Perth.
And a big thank you to Lurker for the ball - I'm going to have to get it framed: how many times am I going to get my hands on a ball signed by the Scotland manager?
Now I need to get a team list for the Dukla boys. Some of those signatures are mince, and not every one of them was instantly recognisable on the pitch. Anyone help out?
