Fresh ideas

Just arrived back from Glasgow and had to come on and thank Ruary for a great day.  Those that missed it - there's always next year for the return game. Some good football played and some not so good (haha) and the game was very evenly balanced even though the final score was 10 - 4!!!

aye, fight and you may die - run and you will live, for at least a while.  And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing, to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, JUST ONE CHANCE TO COME BACK HERE AND TELL OUR ENEMIES THAT THEY MAY TAKE OUR LIVES, BUT THEYLL NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM!!!

Just got back in myself, preparing to arrange divorce proceeding against Richie my son? if kids can divorce parents then parents can divorce their kids.
In reality he did quite well as did his assistants.
It was a great day, Berti said he was so glad to meet me at last and get his pic taken with me.
Ruary magic big man, you did well, the staff at the club were great also. the B.B.Q.was fab. to all the T.A. and families, respect.
To the guys that made up the T.A. team, you have nothing to be ashamed of, you put up a brilliant show, sorry I wasn't much help, thought the heel might hold out but alas, anyway it was great meeting you all, names have vanished already but the faces will stay with me. This is the good side of the T.A. good promotional excercise well carried out. Big extra special mention for Lurker, he won the match ball in the raffle and promptly handed it too Padre's son, if I had, had a bunnet on Lurker I would have taken it off to you. Oh yes and of course Hammy and the overworked camera, he again managed to get pics taken with every available female in the vicinity of the Social Club.

Damned sorry I missed this. Had trouble getting my shift covered tonight, (which is keech, as the bloody bar was empty all night) and couldn't muster anybody else to share the fuel cost for getting down there and back..

Had the bagpipes warmed up for it as well!  Gutted.. But well done lads.

Good day indeed. Made perfect by a screamer of a goal from NOSTA rep Gus

The scoreline flattered Dukla.....

BTW we saw you chasing the kids off the bouncy castle so you could get a shotty geordieboy...

Was a good day.............Dukla's experience showed through in the end though!

thought it had the potential to be alot busier, maybe there should have been a bigger fuss about it before hand, even a seperate thread on the homepage........was a good opportunity to raise lots of money for the sunshine appeal.

Aye good call marco, Chick Young took a lot of flack during the game but he was in great form with the draw also giving his time to get pics taken, and willing to chat, as were most of the others from the dukla team.
Gerry Colins in particular was talking about how much he admired the T.A. and how the hairs on the back of his neck stand when he hears the bagpipes.

Has to be said, a great day out.  Hopefully it'll become an annual thing?  10-4 flattered them, although I thought the second string did well to keep it at 5-2 in the second half

Special mentions for Jimmy Bell for his tireless running up  front, Wrighty (?) at right midfield and for Bruce(?) at right back who I thought was solid.

There was a couple of folk who seemed to be gunning for Comrade Sheridan.  Your faces are noted.
