Why are they scottish claymores playing on hampden?,saw them on tv last night ripping shreads out of it!.spending money like they have to re-fit the turf,and once again being ruined!,why cant they play at murrayfield as before?,or the meadowbank stadium??

The main reason that the Claymores play at Hampden is because of the size of the changing rooms there, so i was told by the guy who showed us round on the tour of the ground. The main reason they will be allowed to play there is the money they will make out of it.

Aye it's a money thing. Hampden will let anything happen there to make money American football, concerts etc to help them get out of debt. Rumour has it they even allow the odd game of football.

I heard their rent at Hampden is about half what it is at Murrayfield. Lower rent in Glasgow is one of the reasons cited for the Rocks basketball team moving from Edinburgh (in that sense yes I am a 'hoops' fan - get it off your chest guys  ) so that would make sense.
I don't think the Claymores would ever get safety clearance from L&B police for Meadowbank. Ever been there?
