SFA say only 14000 will be at Cally-Dundee game, and 30000 (5000 Motherwell) will be at the games over the weekend.

dundee are taking 8000 fans to hampden, not bad considering, easter sunday and every bus in tayside and surrounding areas are booked full.
5000 motherwell, that is terrible sales, hampden is what 10 miles from motherwell.
come on dundee

Couldn't see that there was ever going to be much more than that at either game. I thought Dundee might sell 10,000 although it looks as if it'll be nearer 8k. Dees fans are notoriously fickle so there might be a late surge today and tomorrow but I'll be surprised if we take anymore than 9,000. Lends credence to the arguement that the tie should have been played at Pittodrie/Tynecastle. Mind you if Dundee get to the final and ask for 20,000 tickets Rangers had better not complain seeing how they look as if they'll only have 25k fans there tomorrow.

aye, fight and you may die - run and you will live, for at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing, to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, JUST ONE CHANCE TO COME BACK HERE AND TELL OUR ENEMIES THAT THEY MAY TAKE OUR LIVES, BUT THEYLL NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM!!!

the point I'm trying to make is that every time there is a cup final involving an OF clubd and a provincial club both sides of the OF shout that they should get the vast majority of tickets because of the crowds they get all season. When it comes to the final on neutral ground then I think it should be a 50/50 split and if one club can't sell all their tickets then only then should the OF club involved get a bigger share.

scottish cup rules now state all finals, the tickets must be split 50/50.
this is the only fair way.
if we do beat ICT (it will be a tough game) the i can see dundee taking 20000 to hampden for the final.
i just hope we get there.

It's the only fair way to split the tickets!
Why though is there still a traditional Celtic and Rangers End still at Hampden? I find that a farce at the National stadium that followers of non Old Firm clubs get moved from one end of the stadium to the next depending on which half of the Old Firm they happen to be playing against!

The two main factors that have resulted in only 5-6 thousand Motherwell tickets being sold are the price of tickets and the quality of opposition.
18 for the cheapest ticket and there's a lack of concessionary gates as there is at all games played at Hampden. Ok, it's a semi-final, and maybe I complain about ticket pricing to much, but I think getting high attendances should be more of a priority than it is now.
Despite us beating Rangers on Boxing Day, no one thinks we can win it, because the circumstances are completely different this time around (e.g. we're no playing on a beach), so less people are gonnae buy tickets than if we had a decent chance of progressing the the final.
Attendances have been low all season at Fir Park, average must be between 4 and 5 thousand, so it doesnae really surprise me that we've not sold out. Despite some blinkered 'Well fans complaining about the fact that we were 'only' allocated 10,000 seats.
