I've worn club colours once before, at the Euro '96 qualifier at Hampden against Finland, but only because Morton ( my team ) players Janne Lindberg & Marko Rajamaki ( unused sub ) were playing. Thats the only time as any other time I always stick to Scotland colours.

I do agree it should only be Scotland tops, but some people come and support Scotland who are not Scottish so I sort of think well why not show your nation is behind us. Wales tops, you never see any Welsh in any other persons end do you?

A club being written on a saltire is fine, as far as I am concerned. No issue with that whatsoever - most people would take that to their club's games normally, so why not to support Scotland; it is our national flag after all.
You should, and can wear what you like to games, but on match day, it's far better for everyone to take a Scotland shirt as the club arguments and petty rivalries may emerge if in your normal Saturday gear. With regards to anyone else's international shirt - well, I personally reckon it should be Scotland and Scotland alone on match day. Either side of match day if you want to, it's a nice gesture if you want to wear the oppositions colours, but we really should be in Scotland colours only on the big day itself. Defeats the purpose of having a Scotland shirt if you dont wear it when we're playing!

I would certainly prefer everyone in a Scotland top but I dont think its a big deal if people choose to wear another top, whether it be international or club colours.
It seems to me that the only reason people wouldnt wear club colours is for fear of serious abuse from fellow fans. What if a relatively new Scottish football fan (new to attending Scotland games that is) wanted to come along to the Germany game, but didnt have a Scotland strip so threw on his Arbroath, Aberdeen, Pars, St-Johnstone, etc top? This lads going to get some serious abuse throughout the day going by some of the comments on here - hardly a welcome to make him come rushing back.
Think a lot of people need to chill out a bit and let people wear what they want. If they enjoy it enough and keep coming back, they'll eventually get themselves a Scotland strip.

Super point Auld Reekie, we have to make people feel that they are welcome at games so as we can actually start filling our national stadium!

Just couldnae imagine wearin' ma club top tae a Scotland game..................just.....................couldnae!
Another thing, we couldane put club names on oor Saltire - the five of us support four different teams - would look a bit stupid.
Whit I'd like is on match day (or night) we stick tae Scotland colours.
Nae club colours or oppostition colours at the games - dae whit ye want the rest of the time.
If ye dinnae huv a Scotland top why would ye wear another teams colours?
But that's just ma opinion!
The main thing that gets me is someone wearin' oor rivals top but thats only natural tae dislike anybody in they colours!
Personally, I'm sticking tae tartan or Scotland strips/T-shirts.

What would be the point of putting Man U, Rangers, Celtic or whoever on a flag to be flown.
When the flags are spread out, I prefer to see the names of towns on them.
It is a good way of promoting travel to the games from all parts of the country.
A few of us contemplated wearing our 1900 Forres Mecahnics replicas to the game. But the scotland tops won through. We just didna see the point.
Saying that, when I go to English League games, I like to wear the kilt. Same arguement but from the other side.
In short, I wouldna like to see a Rangers or Celtic shirt at the internationals. Any others probably wouldna bother me.
I am just bigotted against bigots.

definately no club colours at scotland games.
For that day we are all there in unison to support the lads.
Club differences should be forgotten.

I don't think club colours should be at Internationals as we are there to support Scotland and that to me is the only top to wear.
I don't even ask people what team they support as not interested as we are all there to support Scotland.

Still dont see what the big problem is. If I show up in my Dunfermline top and sing my head off for the lads, whats the difference whether Im wearing a Scotland top or not?
I wouldnt be surprised if people start having a go at people for NOT wearing the Scotland top or the national dress.
Let people wear what they want and dinnae gi them grief for it. Id prefer it if everyone wore a Scotland top and a kilt, but Im not going to try and make people feel unwelcome because of what they wear.
Nae funny jokes about the Pars top either! :-P

So wear what you want as long as it is Scotland or the country we are playing or a club top as long as it is neither Rangers or Celtic. What a joke.
You cannot have one rule for one and another for another. I can just see the guy who follows one of the OF turning up for his first game in his club top do you think they would be made to feel welcome? No I didn't think so.
Support your country i.e. Scotland, wear a Scotland top or none at all.

Although I have never done it myself, I don't always see the problem with people wearing club shirts at Scotland games. Surely the fact that people are at the game shows that they are there to support Scotland. The fact that people support different clubs, and sometimes show it by wearing their tops, just shows that despite our differences we are united when it comes to Scotland.
