Rangers own a small sports manufacturing company (based in England) who make the strips for them. Diadora paid £1m to put their name on the tops
In other words, if Diadora were to make the Scotland strip, it is unlikely to be anything like the Rangers one, cos they don't actually make it
PS - on the point of TFG - David Murray (in other words Rangers) own a substantial number of shares in that company.

Swindon Town dumped Xara because all their stuff was made in cairo and it too so long to get shipments in there was never anything in the club shop! Still Diadora isnt THAT bad a make... could have been alot worse!

Diadora make a lot of stuff for the Italians. Unofficial it has to be said, but it looks alright. Also do West Ham's gear, colours are mingin but design seems fairly plain and simple but classy on both accounts, and that's what we're after, is it not?

I'd be quite happy for something like this, darker shade of blue and thicker white trimming on neck and sleeves. Perfect.

Fila kit out West Ham, Diadora kit out Aston Villa. I think you've got your claret-and-blues in a twist there

It said that they are making up some sample shirts....I pray that the SFA will do the correct thing and let the fans pick the shirt....would be better than months of speculation on things like pink and yellow 'croatia' style shirts.

Come on people, can the diadora shirt be any worse that the current Fila one...........I dinna think so. You never know it might be quite smart. I too eas hoping for a nike kit I think it would have been classy but they only want to be associated with the best! (sunderland) ha ha ha. I will still buy the new shirt and give my backing to the National Team and the TA.

Something to say |
I dont like to go on, but, I tend to agree that the New Ireland top from Umbro is smart.
If we get Umbro back on board then imagine the money the SFA could make from retro shirts in the style of World Cup 1978 and World Cup 1982, two excellent shirts. Iam actually surprised that Umbro themselves dont realise this and chase up the SFA, as I'm sure they would both come out of this venture smiling as the cash hit their bank accounts.

I am just glad that it aint lookin like Kappa.
The hug to your beer belly look was never in.
It's awright for those fit player types.
£40 on a spurs shirt an worn only twice. Wont make the same mistake twice.

Morton are dumping TFG for similar reasons as Swindon dumping Xara. The scary thing is Xara & A.N. Other is in the running to supply Morton next season, Hardly International standard is it!?

The point is although Diadora isnt what most of us wanted (dont think anyone even suggested them!) they are still a fairly large company supplying a few of the top teams and in the Early 90s were still supplying Italy with their kits. The Merchandising will be alot better and most importantly we can get a new shirt by june 7th!!!
