Great news. I'd still rather see him playing behind Crawford and Thompson though as an attacking midfielder. He's not afraid to put in a challenge either.

I agree that id like to see him as an attacking midfielder.
But with Thommo out for next couple of qualifiers, i dont think thatll happen.

I actually think he's more effective leading the line. That's where he's scored most of his goals from (England, Germany etc) He and Crawford will be a good partnership with Thompson in reserve.

he played behind two strikers against Belguim and Croatia he was played upfront and wasnt affective

WH drew 1-1 with Bolton, Hutch got last 10 minutes. Miller came on for last 15 for Wolves and Burchill got last 5 for Portsmouth.

Good to see the guy come back from injury but i dont think Hutchinson and Devlin should be playing for Scotland. Dont like to see players playing for our national side that arent Scottish. Should we not be playing the promising Scottish players rather than picking people who qualify to play for us. Not got a problem with it if they have grew up in this country but born in another, but for players to play for us who have had no interest in Scotland until they have a chance of playing international football usually because they have no chance of getting a game with there own country is wrong i think.

Of course a loved him scoring against England but it still did not change the fact that i dont think he should be in the team. I ask the question, do you think it is right that it is possible if you so choose to play a team that could have no Scottish people in it at all. If ye start picking players from here there and everywhere we might as well just make it club football.

We shouldn't just pick anyone because they declare themselves eligible, but if they are good enough (and Hutchison certainly is) then they should play. It's not as if we can take or leave a player of Hutchison's calibre.

So as long as player is better than what we have no matter where he comes from in the world he should play for Scotland.MMMMHHHH. Sorry but i think not, i think we should agree to disagree. Ability does not come into it, its where your from or where you belong to that determines who you should play for. Dont know about you but if i qualified to play for other other team rather than my homeland there is no way i would ever play for them.
