Wot yoou all think should the friendly matches continue to be played at smaller venues where the atmosphere generated spurs on the team such as tuesday night, or should we playing all our games at the national stadium, and home of scottish football.
Vote now please. Hampden or Continue the tour

I reckon the Irish game should be at Murrayfield.
It would let the SFA take away this potential "risk" game away from Glasgow and use one of the grounds for 2008 as we will have been awarded it by then

Totally agree but the further step should really have been nae Hampden who needs it apart fae the SFA fur the plush offices.
The games could easily have been accomodated in other stadia around Scotland as was proven during the reconstruction. I think most of you would agree that the atmospheres created at Pittodrie, Tynecastle, Easter Road, Parkhead and Ibrox were greater than any we have experienced since our return to "The National Stadium".
Facts. Try and get hame fae tae any place other than Central Scotland corridor by public transport after a mid-week game. No possible.
Where dae the majority of Scotland fans come from? And this isnae a pop at the fans from Glasgow and the surrounding areas its just a fact.
Whilst in full rant here. Is our football so big we need so many governing bodies to look after it? Does anybody know the actual number. Lets take a stab at the ones ah can think of off-hand.
1 SFA
2 SL
3 SPL
4 SWFA
5 SAFA
6 SJFA
7 SSJFA
Now if you ever wondered where the money is draining tae the above might just be a leaky plug. And think how many freebie tickets go tae the committees of that lot and ask how many Scotland songs thae ken.
Ach I hae bad dose of the flu this morning and ahm maybe just being crabbit but this set up does get tae me.

Problem is denmark friendly still got 30,000 which is bigger than east coast ground capacities. What we really need is astadium in Edinburgh holding about 25,000 - I have no enthuasiam at all for playing at murrayfield and subsidising rugby union, a sport associated with anglicisation, schools bannning football etc.

I don't think it would be a case of subsidising rugby union Ben - the SRU are, as far as I know, reasonably well off and don't need football matches.
The problem I can see with the idea of taking the Ireland game to Murrayfield is that it's right in the middle of the Six Nations season and the pitch will almost certainly be a complete mess. On top of that, I think I'm right in saying that the grass for rugby is usually longer than that for football so the SRU presumably wouldn't be too keen on the idea of cutting the grass for a footie match?

totally agree with you on the squandering of money on the administration of the game. Everyone talks about the 10 year plan the French had and the success it achieved, but many forget the first thing they did was scrap all their organisations and form one federation, its about time we did that!

Filling stadiums & creating an atmosphere for friendlies should surely be the priority, smaller stadia are ideal for this & I don't have a problem travelling all over scotland to watch my nation.
