I know a good lawyer ......
Traynor is wind up merchant, he wants to be universally disliked because in his world, that means he is being a "right-on" journo.
He has never a constructive point to make about anything and in my opinion is the poorest so called journalist since Gerry McNee.

I don't personally read the DR so I normally steer clear of any debates on it.
Sometimes, however, I am able to comment.
Obviously I have not read his article but the quote above is so easily picked apart it's laughable.
OK - you could claim I'm taking a single sentence out of context but journalists do that every day.
Bob - for all the inane (and sometimes misplaced) slagging of the DR you complain about, this (JT) is a very good reason for never reading your employers product.
It is an extremely poor piece of journalism - what is he trying to say? - that the TA is made up of a certain sub-class of our society and no others?
Accountants and lawyers themselves cross many of our classes & social barriers and have personalities so differing (from introvert to extrovert) that his quote is rendered completely pointless.
You yourself must be only too aware of the cross-section of our society, never mind the soldiers from around the world, that comprimise the TA.
Just as an afterthought - what does Traynor think of the DR lawyers & accountants? And what do they think of him???

I guess Mr Traynor has a problem with fans that can articulate for themselves and don't need him to be a "mouthpiece".
Maybe the fact that we can reason and debate( unlike him ) is the basis of his diatribe.
I didn't realise that it essential to be socially impoverished to support Scotland.
Thank goodness we have Traynor to keep us in our place. ( Fuqing Idiot !!!!)

I was in charge of ticket distribution for the pre & post march party at Number 10s in Mayfair in 1999.
A certain weel-kent (or should it just be wee) Perthshire face was after tickets for Cosgrove & Cowan. I made sure that Cowan didn't get one & Cosgrove only got one out of respect for the weel-kent Perthshire face.
I haven't forgotten Cosgrove being pally, pally on the easy jet flight back from Nice after the Monaco game and then slaughtering the TA in his column in the Record a few days later.
As for Traynor, his time will come.

Then I should thank you for the ticket Scottish Magpie only went after the game but had agreat evening despite not qualifying
I always remember going into an all night McDonalds with a few lads after only to be met by stares by a bunch of coloured gentlemen who had to be told that we were in fact Scottish and not some kind of Right wing facist group of England thugs

Imagine, 15,000 lawyers and accountants in Brussels all at once last year. How on earth did the judicial system in Scotland survive? Nae wonder the Inland Revenue have to advertise on the telly, the accountants are obviously too Magoo'd to fill the Tax Returns in!!!

I probably fall within the groups that JT was talking about (sorry!) - does that mean that I am not allowed to go and watch Scotland any more?

It was a great night, kind of mixed emotions really.
I was involved in organising all the buses going up, so wasn't really able to realx & unwind until we got back after the game.
On the way up to Wembley, we had a full bus so I was sitting in the courier seat at the front. After not very long, I realised that the route the driver was taking to Wembley was up the Marylebone Road and therefore past that well known English hooligan hangout, The Globe Tavern at Baker St.
About 100 yards from the Globe, we were stopped in traffic at the lights when one of the TA on the coach came down wanting to be let off the coach as he was dying to relieve himself. I wouldn't let him off the bus and he got a bit shirty with me. I then explained that if I let him off the bus there it would probably be the last anyone would see of him & explained what exactly was just up the road. He went back sat down and crossed his legs.
Fortunately for us, judging by the debris on the pavement outside it had kicked off earlier and the police had shut the pub & cleared everyone out, so we got up to Wembley with no incident.

Traitor only gets out when the Retard pays for him.
He thinks he's a 'better' supporter than us because he doesn't sing when we've lost. Let him pay for his trips out of his own pocket and then we'd see just how committed he is.

ScottishMagpie - you did a grand job. Me and Jaggy Bunnet were on one of those buses - I well remember going past that pub in Baker Street but don't think it was our bus that someone wanted off of, fortunately!
As for Traitor - if he's so against the idea of Euro 2008 coming here, then maybe the SFA should ban him from all game in the tournament when it comes round? (I know I'm making a big assumption there, but I really believe we can do it). I mean, if he hates the idea so much then surely he'll not want to be part of the biggest party this country has ever seen?

TS - I guarantee that if Scotland/Ireland do win the 2008 bid Traynor will be spouting forth about how he and the DR spearheaded the bid.
Bob - I challange you with making sure that any credit that comes in the way of your paper is completely claimed by you.
