To settle a bet can any of the German TA confirm that Berti Vogts appeared as himself in a German tv show or film?
If he did, can you tell me the name of it please and if there were some other German players in it as well.
Thanks

I seem to remember seeing Paul Breitner appearing in some film a few years back.
Dressed as some sort of Hussar (18th century cavalry man or something ?).
Don't know if Berti was in it also though.

Berti Vogts Moviestar

Old coach of the national team Berti Vogts has a new job on Sunday had it his first appearance as a television star in the "scene". Neither as authors nor as victims he was to be seen, he played himself "in the reason" (TV feature), a "love-worth-shy neighbour".

For the film action Vogts was not appearance from importance. Probably however for it. Finally it was allowed itself, without by annoying journalists to be met with hostility, about football express. There some sentences go more easily from the tongue: "European champion to become, is with difficulty, the world championship nearly impossible." Or: "I had to continue to work, after I was professional, as coaches, and that was condemned hard." Did its short appearance serve of the processing trauma, or does want to weaken Vogts with self irony the reproach of the Humorlosigkeit?

Still another another motive assumes the citizens of Berlin newspaper: "perhaps prominent laymen are engaged at all only, thus the spectators intensive phases of fear and compassion go through." Berti Vogts as personifizierte Katharsis. And the FAZ observed, "the helpful neighbour, that understands more about the football than about the life", looks terriblly. The newspaper comes to the conclusion: "it must have gone through terrible." Was Berti the victim nevertheless? Does the conspiracy theory in the "scene", developed by it, experience its late implementation?

Not all are there (unfortunately) Andy! JCFC believe Berti starred in two - the first as you said as himself "fussball profi" with another actor called Heinz Erhard(?) And the second in a popular Krimi (murder/mystery)series here called Tatort (playing a neighbour - about 4/5 years ago)...

Are ye not thinking of a popular (?) murder mystery series called Taggart ?

Then again, after my first post, perhaps I should just shut up !!

Similar to Taggart TS although Tatort tends to play in different German cities i.e. Berlin,Munich,Frankfurt etc. (which you can tell from the car number plates if you dinny ken the landmarks)whereas Taggart tended just to centre on Glasgow or Rankin's which is mainly Edinburgh....
