Last night I was watching the champions league qualifier second leg between Zeljeznicar (Bosnia) and LillestrÝm (Norway - where Iím living). I was amazed to hear the Bosnian supporters start to sing Here we go, here we go, here we go.   
Mirza I was wondering if this was your club team and if you had been teaching them a few songs.  I know Tam the Tram got FC Copenhagen signing a few of our songs a couple of season ago.
BTW was the match played in the same stadium as we played Bosnia in for the 2000 European Championships, it certainly looked like it.

There was a wee discussion in the Heb last night about this team and their pending trip to St James' Park on the 28th August. A couple of pints later and we're all but putting a bus on! So, any footsoldiers that fancy donning the kilt and a Bosnian strip and hopping on a train/bus/car to Newcastle, let me know and hopefully we can get it sorted out.

Hi Lars. Well, I know a couple of guys who run some of their groups but don't think they picked this one from me.
Anyway, as Sacks said above - several of us already made plans and we're hopefully off to Newcastle on 28 August. It could be a good fun, especially if the team brings some 30-40 fans with them on charter plane.
Anyone interested in this, contact Sacks so he'll get back to me and we can sort out number of tickets needed for Zeljo end.

Sorry to say they were pretty average and Newcastle will most likely give them a gubbing. Still the idea of going down to support them sound a giggle.
They are a really physical team. The players that stood out are the keeper and I think their number 10 (goal scorer)

I agree. No one back home expects that we'll go further. But you never know 
Anyway, they played four games this season in CL and won all of them. Which is a very good result after last two seasons being kicked out immediately.
Now, after Newcastle kicks us out (most probably), we'll go UEFA Cup. Even if immediately kicked out there, the team will end up with more than million of euros which is something like more than double budget from last year.
Anyway, after the match next week (full crowd 30.000) we'll know more so it might be a very good fun in Newcastle for the return match.

And forgot to say - it was total madness in Sarajevo after the match! Songs, flags, beers, cars, horns, flares, smokes...

If I get reasonable numbers I'll look into getting a bus, otherwise it looks like a car or train effort with a night on the toon after. Well, an hour on the toon after - bloody E*****h licensing laws.

I expect we'll have to. We could try and negotiate with Newcastle directly as a uk-based supporters club although I don't think they'll go for that.
We need some Bosnian strips to go with our kilts as well.

As I said to Mirza yesterday I'll be up for it as well. Dunno how you plan to get tickets though. Isn't it pretty tough getting them for even the most boring of Newcastle matches?
I've got a zlezenicwhatdeyecallit scarf and a Bosnia top if that helps. It'll be something to put at the front of the bus at least.

I'm due to go to Newcastle on business at some point in the next few weeks so was thinking about coinciding it with this game. I'll be driving down fae Aberdeen probably early on the day of the game so i might be able to give you a lift Aly and/or anyone else that fancies it. I'll no early next week if i'm going.
Home tickets shouldn't be a problem I managed to get tickets for the Arsenal game last year by phoning up about a week before the game and i notice on their Website that tickets for their game with West Ham on the 19th are on open sale.
