Something to say

went to see a nottingham forest v newcastle united friendly last week, and i must say i am impressed with gareth williams from forest.

he played a defensive midfield role, and seemed very comfy on the ball, which for a scot, was nice to see!! usually we just blooter it about! lol

anyone else seen anything promising???

Saw Leicester v Athletico Bilbao on Sunday and Paul ****
ov was superb, until the ref decided to ruin things.

Matt Elliot left with a bloodied heid and then ****
ov was asked to leave for getting stuck in aboot them, which was harsh.

But ****
ov was very good indeed and had an excellent pre season

What about Russell Anderson, Brian? And which Young?  thought Derek had the better game on Saturday, but still think Darren is the better player (and he's got more experience)

Glad to see andersen back TS,maybe needs a wee bit time to settle back in,but  defo for the future, i would put both youngs in,but if it where a choice it would be darren, had a great season last year.i still like the look of big kyle,he minds me of joe jordan.i think there is plenty of good youngsters out there for us to be optimistic about the future.

Berti has got to stick with O'Conner. Even if he just stays in the squad. He had another good preseason and was awesome against Everton, he made Stubbs look slow and old (maybe he is though )

Lee Wilkie was outstanding for Dundee on Saturday and by all accounts was carrying on the form shown in pre season. He looks even bigger, but fitter, than before and I'm sure if he continues to perform like this Berti will have him in the squad.

Went to the Luton Town v Southampton game at Kennilworth Road last night.  Alan Combe was in goal for Luton and pulled off an absolutey amazing point blank save about 5 mins from the end.

He's nowhere near International Level but he's Scottish so I thought I'd throw another name into the hat.

I'll tell you someone who looked very ordinary on Saturday - Thompson from Dundee Utd.  Can't see Berti sticking with him for much longer.
