Just to let you all know that Colin Healy and Shaun Maloney were both on Target as Celtic humped Queens Park Rangers 7-3!
thats 2 in 2 games for Healy. Is he gonna be another Burchill? ie Really promising but not get a look in at celtic???

Doh! i dindt realise Healy was Irish!!! Same can be said for Maloney though..... Huge things are expected of him, but with larsson, Sutton, Fernandez and Hartson ahead of him, its gonna be tough.

agreed. jimbers, martin o'neil hates scotland and our football, as his comments on telly in 98 only back up, still its him who suffers when he has duds like sutton and hartson up front with the brilliant larson. Burchill is way better, also maloney coooould be the man given the chance. rangers aint any better, dodds, millar etc. thank goodness for the dons and co.

Mirza,
why have you moved Euro2008 topic to the appropriate thread and left this pish in General.
Where are all the administrators?
I looked earlier today and nearly all of the topics in General should have been in Other Pish.
Not meaning to moan cos I know you guys and gals do this for bugger all but a wee bit of consistency would be nice.
Cheers,
Tam

Thread started off as a topic about promising Scottish youngsters (till i forgot that Healy is actually irish!!! )
Glad to hear McLeish saying that they (Rangers) will be concentrating on youth development from now on though

Getting back tae what Perthshirebell said about O'Neill during France 98. The irish windbag says we didnt deserve to be there because we played an unattractive long ball game!
Hmmmm is this no the guy that when he was with Leicester at the time used to play the big guy Marshall up front and occasionally Elliott and another tall guy up front as well ?.If my memory serves we well im pretty sure it was the long ball game which is so desperatly unattractive that helped Mr O'Neill found success with Leicester.

and o'neil is mr 3-5-2
its frustrating to see us playing long ball as those days of wimbledon style football (long ball) are over good teams can prevent it
I want to see Scotland hammer Fareo Isles

Well I think he is gonna learn how to do it with the current financial climate. Luckily for some clubs they have been poor for a while so have been bringing through good youngsters (Aberdeen springs to mind) Certainly both the OF teams started to play a few of the youngsters at the end of last season.... Whether that was with a view to develope them into firts team regulars or to bump up their value by playing them in 1st team games is a different matter. Certainly several of them have looked excellent though.
