Hi Houston!
I have looked in the telefonbook but could not find the name Weidenhammer. Are you sure with the name?

I don't know yet if I go to the match against Iceland. Do you know if the match is on Saturday or is it during the week? Do you go to the match against Denmark?Where do you live in Germany?

Corkie-you dissapoint me.
That's the wrong attitude to take about foreign visitors. In fact,it's similar to the attitude that the English take.Take the chip off your shoulder.
We should at least be able to welcome guys to the board in their own language,if we can.We should all try to learn something-it doesn't hurt to show some courtesy.
And don't assume just because you are keich at languages, that I am too.

p.s.-Alan,......Stevie Kirk was my hero, when he played for East Fife.He lives about 3 miles from me.Loved it when he scored for Well against Dundee United-the team that robbed us of a cup final,by scoring in the 97th minute against us in a cup tie.

methilstevie...

In my post please see the , I was JOKING by saying that we should not welcome the guy into the TAMB. People welcoming folk is one thing, showing off to the rest of the TAMB is another.

Also, why don't YOU stop making 'keich' assumptions about my foreign language abilities - or - mention me in the same breath as an Englishman, or we will fall out...

PS. Are you maybe the real Stevie Kirk

Wait a minute......
If you can make any assumptions about MY language skills in the first place, you must be an expert,Corkie.
But you don't speak any languages, right?
Cos people only learn languages, with the intention of "showing off" to total strangers in the Tartan Army Message Board, right?
Well look -> that means I am really joking when I say "Hey Corkie- awa' an lie in yer pish"
If my attempts at learning German,or anything else, happen to offend anyone else, please let me know, and I will ignore you as well. But why should you be?
We're no'called the best fans in the world for nothing.

I think Weidenhammer is a friend of David the P from the Campbelltown TA. Other German TA footsoldiers except Houston & Heinz live in Hamburg (Claas), Rostock (Kai) & Munich (Sven + Ralph) and Frankfurt (me). There has been a post several weeks ago from a guy called Dirk from Forkheim which is also not far from Nueremberg, he spoke about 17 people who travelled to some matches, but I haven't met them yet.
For tickets it's the best to become a member of the STC. For home matches it will be no problem to get tickets, but for matches like GER it's definitely an advantage to be in the STC. Tickets for away matches are only available if your in the STC and every member can order only one ticket. If there are less tickets than members (remember France 98) it could be important to be an "old" member or to have been at away matches.
If you travel with Heinz, I'll see you in August.

It hasn't been updated for a long time but have a look:
