Dianne, if your antivirus program and data files are up to date you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
Just delete them.
There is usually an attached file with this virus so if you open that it might give you a clue about where they actually come from.
A mate of mine got a load of these and found a picture file on one of them that was a photo of the person whose machine was infected so he managed to tell them and get rid of it.

DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS FROM DODGY EMAILS!!!!
Whatever you do, if you get a suspect email, and it has an attachment DELETE is straight away - do not open it - this is how people get infected!
There is a free tool here:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.removal.tool.html
This is a wee program that will remove the virus.
Once removed (or even if you don't have it), download the patch that stops the virus from using a well known Internet Explorer security flaw:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS01-020.asp
Anyone need any advise, give me a shout.

i have had another one sent the worrying thing is that it was sent from postmaster saying that my message could not be deliverd to to scott @westendbar.co.uk i have never sent one to this person i really do believe someone is trying to inflict damage on this board

All this could explain what happened to me the other day. got an email from some guy asking me to send the file and attachment to him again, I emailed back telling him I didnae have a scooby what he was on about and havenae heard owt since. I thought I was being stalked !!! - just ma luck it was a bloke!!

I've had a couple of the undelivered things as well maqueen and today I received another blank email, apparently from Thing on A String. The subject is: 2001 AlmightyZeus.com. This is becoming rather strange.

the email i was sent was 135k in size and was addressed from postmaster so i (stupidly) opened it but it did not have an attatchment and was only couple of lines of text i have norton but i have not renewed my subscription and its not bang up to date but have ran two virus scans 1 norton and 1 through pc pitstop no virus found can any pc buffs tell me if i have now got the a virus i am process of downloading patch but dont know if im locking stable doors after horse has bolted also i have internet explorer 6 so do i need to download this patch

my concern is that there are 1300+ members of this board and not all are active maybe some visited once or twice this has serious implications because as far as i see it this virus is being used against this board maybe emails will have to be sent to all members warning them of this. and is it possible to not show emails and keep them secret
