Well I never!  I was just sitting minding my own business, when I met DoricDuncan and SteveMac in the Pinewood (or what ever it is called now), not knowing that they were from my neck of the woods, which is Helensburgh.

There are about 9 members of the current Helensburgh TA, however, I know of over 15 other people from Helensburgh and the surrounding area (Loch Lomond, Alexandria, Dumbarton, Balloch, Kilcreggan, etc) that wish to join, I therefore suggest a Loch Lomond TA.

If you fancy it then please leave a coment below:-

Jennifer has put her name forward. We must arrange a meeting some time. I might advertise in local pubs.

Yes Harry Sorry it took so long to post a reply but been speaking to a few of the local lads about it and Barry, Stu the nose, Stevie T, Mandy, Pauline and quite a few others are all up for it. I think we should wait until England are on their way back before we start advertising in Helensburgh as posters won't last very long. A good idea that came up was run a small bus to the Denmark game picking up at various pubs on route thus generating a wee bit more interest and possibly picking up new recruits en route. I also think we should be Balloch based with the odd away meeting in Helensburgh etc. By the way Harry I am surprised you remember being in the Millig as you were pashed oot yer heid but at least you never went with any of the spice girls this time. Doric for Chairman.

No idea Craigos no really that familiar with the pubs round there at the moment but I am sure Harry will have a better idea. Where are you watching the England Argentina match by the way it might be quite funny watching in the Burgh and seeing all those tears. What about Lomand and Argyll Tartan Army (LATA)??

Good to see a good interest showing for the Lomond & Argyll t.a. or what ever it will be called. We will decide the name at the first meeting which I reckon should be about the end of July. I will look into a good venue for the 1st meeting. I propose Stevie Mac as chairman as he is a good speaker but we will decide the comitee at the meeting once we get to meet every one. Any way keep the posts coming and the interest going till we get a good number of people interested and I reckon around end of July for 1st meeting. Any one with any suggestions?

No branch yet Taff what Craigos meant was, in the area there is several TA of their own accord belonging to different organisations (WESTA etc) or bimbling about on their todd. As you said places like the Clyde are full of Scotland fans and it would be great to have something that people can belong to as I am sure you will agree start a TA in the Burgh and we will have loads of people wanting to join and that can only be good. We will post something soon but bounce it off John I think the Clyde is the ideal venue for H,Burgh meets. A Scottish pub in the town after all.

Clyde bar sounds fine along wi the Glenroy month about. There is a lot of potential in the area for a big club espicially with the amount of Jock matelots at Faslane.

Excellent Ezzy glad to see the female foot soldiers are up for it and some e mails will be sent out soon. Flyers/posters will soon be distributed to the local boozers with the exception of Imps and Clockworx( No use wasting paper on them). In the meantime I propose Craig W as Web site administrator (read the profile Craig). Well we can'y exactly ask Tartan Taff as I am sure he has just set out to confuse everyone with his E mail post!!!!! Harry for Chairman.

I suggest you for chairman Stevie. I am not up for such a high profile position just yet. May be in the future when I am off the boat.We will sort those things at 1st meeting.I will still stay with WESTA as well. No harm being in 2 clubs.
