Could someone enlighten me as to what a "British Scotsman" is?

Is that like "military intelligence" then?

Hmmm, sorry, why exactly am I 'full of shite', Bzzzz? I think Jacobite made the very same point a while back and you didn't bite his head off.

When I said 'most of you' I of course meant most scotsmen, not most of YOU.

Come on Will, Bzzz always tells Kernie he's full of shite

In this case though it's definately the other guy who is a complete arse. He's one of a small group that post regularly to most of the newsgroups purely to provoke arguments and make the groups unuseable.

More Than Words

Am I the only one wondering why there was a whole troop of Tartan Army in Bangkok when we were playing in SKorea and Hong Kong?

I heard from people that were in Busan that there were only 25 or so travelling TA there. I didn't meet any in Hong Kong who travelled via Thailand either.

It's factually flawed from start to finish and isn't worth a response.

I've just read through this and I've no doubt that the original Bangkok story was total fabrication just wind everyone up, and it worked! But to be fair to the 'British Scotsman', not easy seeing as he's such a twat, there was a lot of violence that night after the last England game at Hampden and though the majority of hooligans involved were English there were lots of Scots involved as well. Not regular Tartan Army guys but Scots all the same. This game attracts the arseholes on both sides, and yes we have got plenty of them which is why I would never want it brought back as a regular fixture. He's also right about the Aberdeen/Rangers 'riot' with the Daily Record blaming it all on English infiltrators, however when a few days later when they were able to 'name and shame' the hooligans including those wearing English and Chelsea gear they turned out to be Scottish Rangers fans.

The main point of his argument seems to be ''that the hooligan element in both
camps as a percentage of total support is roughly
even''

This is nonsense particularly if we are talking about followers of the respective National teams but, let's be honest the Scottish hooligan scene is still very much alive, we are just fortunate that those 'firms' active at the moment seem to have little interest in following the National team except when we play England. Of course some of them seemingly have allegiances elsewhere, of this we should be gratefull.
