Dobbie's a MASSIVE find and will be an International regular for years to come this tour will of improved him!!

Sully love or hate him he's No.1 and is better than Douglas cant wait till August and then onto the Faeros REVENGE Dobbie's bound to score there

Iceland will be such a tough game!!

Fresh ideas

Totally agree with Jimbers, Hutchy is much better playing behind a front two where he looks class.  Too often when he has been stuck up front he just looks like another big striker.  When he is in midfield he is something special and could give the team a real cutting edge.

Kyle, for me, was the find of the trip. The lad loves playing for Scotland and nearly celebrated his brains out when he scored. The more we have like the Stranraer lad the better!

Sadly we will be without Hutch until 2003, he knackered his cruciates in training.

Agree about Kyle being a good find, but a bit worried as he is young and raw.  When the real stuff starts against experienced players his temper looks suspect.

No doubt Bertie will knock him into shape and we will have the new Joe Jordan on our hands.  Magic...

I think we have found a gem in Kevin Kyle, Dobie looked good, maurice ross was excellent in both games. Midfield still looks a bit dodgy but to be fair (cant believe im gonna say this) Gemmill played well in the HK game. Team was alot better as i think they had got used to the heat and humidity by the thursday ( i nearly had!!)

Anyway, the Future is Bright. the Future is Tartan!

It was definately a worthwhile exercise (and I am not just speaking personally ). It was a great way to test out players and see what there is to build on.

What happens in August against Denmark I think is now crucial to determine what has been learned and give a clearer direction of where we are going.

Will, come on now you know Gemmil is quality , you told me so in HK..?????I thought you were going to faint when he went on a maisy, & if he scored from it I think you would had buy him one of those containers of lager after the roasting you were giving him..
I don't think he has enough quality for the team myself but he definately has the commitment something a few players lack.

I couldnt believe it was the same player that i have grown to loathe and hate in the HK game... he did play well but committed? threatening to quit the national team when he doesnt play because there are about 4 players better than him.. thats not committed! thats doing a roy keane and throwing all your toys out the pram!

Talks too much

always felt Gemmil was mince, still do, Johnson was the biggest waste of space in my humble opinion

Ferguson, Lambert, Burly and McNaughton into the HK games midfield and we are talking...

win our Euro 2004 group, you  heard it here first
